    I saw someone coming out of my local Homebase with one the other week and I thought hmmm maybe I should get one but then never bothered, didn't think we'd have snow so soon. Could do with one now!!! Whoever else did stock them probably has none left now!

    Our local council encourages residents to visit their local roads depot to collect small amounts of grit so they can grit the pavement/drive etc outside their house. They never come near our pavements so I always try to grit my path/drive, etc.

    I filled my car with grit/salt the other day. 4 big bags of the stuff, and then dropped a few off at a few old codgers houses :) Saved them making the long trek down hill, across a busy dual carriageway and then back up the hill.
