I hope they still have plenty of the heads, knees and toes offer left in Glasgow. I was only in the other week and bought moisturiser, conditoner, etc and got my nice tin box of ballistics as my freebie. I shouldn't really be buying any more but its a great offer and I am loving trying out new things.
Do they give out samples of the soap at all? I got some Xmas cake soap last year in my grab bag but had to bin it, I couldn't stand it. I've tried the ice blue soap, it was nice.0 -
I got two of the sets of HK&T, so I could try out the diffrent options.. the face masks are in the fridge, cant wait to try it all out, and the grab box was fab had lots of goodies and they sent me 4 extra samples of face products.! Great sizes as well..:DPeople who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...
It is much easier to see other people's failings than our own.0 -

Never thought to ask for samples!! Got the £10 free new year offer although that has now finished, got 100g angels, snowcake and porridge and 4 bath ballistics which I will use in my foot spa thanks to a helpful post I've seen on here earlier, put a bit of Think Pink in my foot spa whilst I was reading and following the Boots thread on here yesterday, it was cracking! Yes, although it is a bit hit and miss depending on the store. As long as you're friendly and seem like a genuine customer then they should be fine. Tell them why you'd like to try them ie 'I'm a member of an Internet forum and someone posted about the £12.50 offer so I came and bought it last week, the products are gorgeous but there was no soap or shower gel type stuff, would it be possible to get some small samples of these to try too?' ... For liquid products they have tiny plastic tubs that they'll squirt a tester in to for you.
Generally the shower gel samples will be enough for one use but depending on the soap (some seem to use themselves up quicker than others) they will last 5-8 hand washes, more than enough to see if you like it or not. Personally I've been using a Sexy Peel sample no bigger than an old style packet of gum (the ones that came in strips!) in the shower for over a week now and it'll probably last another week :T .. However my Vanilla In The Mist sample (which by the way doesn't smell like vanilla, more nutty or slightly like coffee beans) went very quickly in comparison.

I love Lush but I have stuck to treating myself to the bath ballistics til now. This year is the first time I have tried other stuff like the moisturisers. I just want to try the soap before I buy a big chunk of it, check its ok with my skin and that I like the smell. I tried out the celestial moisturiser in the store before I bought it but you can't really try soap in the store. Only want a teeny weeny bit, if I like it then I'm happy to buy a chunk of it.0 -
They are normally very generous with their samples in Lush, in my experience anyway. You can just say what you said in your post about already using some stuff but want to try more but would it be okay to try a bit first. They are normally very obliging. I have went on to purchase full size items from getting sample sizes so it must work for them!
They have a fantastic customer service too - I returned a moisturiser that had split and they sent a replacement and 3 other items as compensation. :A0 -
Just to let any of the Belfast MSErs know, lush still have the 'free stuff aplenty when you spend twenty' signs up and the big box in the window is still full of gift boxes. Didn't go in to ask what exactly they're offering now because I would've been too tempted to buy yet more goodies!!0
