I probably would - I fry up the red onion and bacon first. The only problem is not eating half of it before it goes in cos it smells lush :)

i found it to be easier than i expected.
make the pastry, add i the fillings, cover in a milk/egg/cream (this mixture is different for everyone it would appear!) and then bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. yum!

for a classic quiche lorraine, i use this recipe....

    5 rashers bacon,cooked & chopped small
    3oz cheese
3 large eggs plus 1 extra yolk
    10 fl oz double cream
    salt & pepper

Cook your pastry case 'blind' for 10mins, then arrange bacon & cheese in it. Pour over the eggy mixture, and cook for about 1/2 an hour till set.

You don't need to use double cream...you can use single cream or milk if you prefer :D

I add sweetcorn, peppers, onions, cheese, a few herbs, tomotoes, leeks etc. O try to make it as veggie as possible to disguise the eggs as DS isn't keen on them.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!
