that sounds fab ,where can i get me some bisquick ???

I looked up Bisquick UK on Google, and came up with this on the Betty Crocker range:
<<Bisquick® Original All-Purpose Baking Mix is a kitchen cupboard essential which allows you to make pancakes, scones, fruit loaves, waffles, pizza, dumplings, Yorkshire puddings and much, much more. The Pancake Pouch Batter Mix is a convenient pack that will make up to 10 pancakes, ideal for a weekend brunch and perfect for pancake day.
Bisquick® All Purpose Baking Mix availablity
    UK: Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose,>>

Now if you want to be super frugal, you can mix up your own:

16 c all purpose flour (not cake, not bread flour)
    2 Tbs salt
    4 cups shortening
blend all ingredients well, use as you would regular Bisquick.

I'd buy a box of the commercial Bisquick, that recipe makes quite a lot!

My mum makes sort of a quiche

It has egg and sausage meat in it, with tomatoes on the top and it's yummy

what about spinach and cheese or egg?

My favourite is mushroom & herbs:D

I'm a veggie so often use up what veg I've got or whats been reduced.

Cheese & Leek (you could add bacon or ham I suppose!)

    Leek & mushroom

cheese, tomato & onion. (really nice with whole cherry toms and then they squdge in your mouth when you eat them :D )

Peppers & courgette is yummy too

Sometimes I roast the veg in olive oil & garlic first and you get lots more flavour but then you also have to drain the veg well - I've had some soggy quiches :o

I've also put raw mushrooms in and learnt that all the juice makes it soggy so now I cook these first too :o

Obviously, it may be my dodgy cooking and this only happens to me! :D

you could make it half quiche half spanish omelette - thinly slice some new potatoes and red onion - fry gently till soft ( not browned ) in some olive oil, drain off then mix in with the egg mixture and pour into the blind baked pastry case and cook.

My sister used to have a massive quich dish, she used to fill it with sausage, bacon, tomatos, peppers and onions. Shes on a permanent diet these days, so she hasnt made it for years  might try to persuade her to make one when she gets back from her hols, will pass her recipe on if she does.
Before I became OS I used to buy ready made quiche from sainsbury's, I think it had a layer of tomato on the bottom, then it was filled with broccoli and cheese and eggs, next time I'm in savacentre I'm gonna take a look at the ingredients and try to make on myself.
I'm not being very helpful am I??? Sorry

My fav is curried chicken and veg quiche.

I use the left over meat from a slow cooked or roast chicken...onion, sweetcorn, celery and broccoli....fry them all off with some curry powder and bung into your pastry as normal....

Tuna and sweetcorn one is nice too - but can't cook that very often as DH has a fish allergy.
