Orange Contract, help needed
Have a problem with my mobile phone contract
When I was renewing my 3 business contract phones I was obviously pushing
for more and more stuff, I was really pushing for free internet access but she
wouldn't give, in the end she offered me 1gb per month, this was in May.
Don't normally look at my bills etc as there all payed DD, but I noticed Orange
had taken £190 out of my account, so I looked for the bills for the phones.
All getting charged for internet access, no free 1gb:mad:
So I have the enviable task of having to ring Orange Customer Services up/
guess what, sorry sir we can't find that on your contract, it says 1mb, not 1gb.
What good is 1mb
I'm not letting them get away with it this time, a contract before, I specifically
said I wanted 12 months and when I found out I was on 18 months I was going
to leave asap, but this 1gb offer made me stay.
Its not a mistake either, I specifically noted all my different offers on my PDA
and still have the file, its says 1gig.
Have officially complained, fat lot of good that, but now want to know if anyone
has had similar experience. I will not let this go and have already contacted
Oftel, although I'm not holding much hope out

I was missold unlimited internet package by dial-a-phone, whilst i won the case with help of trading stanards my paperwork had the words unlimited internet included across everything important. Did you get any contract in writing stating what was included?
I believe orange only do unlimited internet as (a standard 500mb-750mb per month internet package), the other packages are on separate USB dongles.
I would ask for a recording of the sales phonecall, the problem is going to be it was done in may so they might well state it has been over 6 months and this is the first contact you have made regarding the cost of internet usage on the phone.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Is this a business acc or a domestic acc being used for business?
The true business acc's have a much larger limit than the domestic.
I'd call CS (or business CS) and argue that 1mg between 3 handsets would to totally pointless (I didn't think there even was a 1 meg bundle) and its an obvious mistake.
The only issue you may have is they, as a rule, will only change back 3 months as its your responsibility to check your bills monthly.0 -

Its a business account, I know its ludicrous to suggest I'd of accepted 1mb, the guy on the phone was so arrogant as well, they talk to you like your in the wrong and an idiot:mad:
Could I not cancel my accounts and let them take me to court?? They know there in the wrong and they'd have to prove they didn't say it and with no tape lol, what can they do, I certainly never signed for 1mb of free info0
