  • Well, am working today, but need to find some time at some point today to buy a christmas card for my girlfriend. Thought had remembered everything, but always manage to forget something.

You had better make sure you get that card today otherwise I can see someone being in the dog house over Christmas:rotfl:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Good morning all!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    good morning :hello:,

Decided that whist I felt truly horrid I'd be better off not posting for a few days but sadly for you lot I feel slightly less worthless today and you lot get to suffer with me:o;)

seriously though I'm really hoping the anti-depressants kick in soon cos I'm sick of feeling so low (though I do feel a lot more upbeat today).

Am taking little pickle for her 8-10 month check up... and I really wonder where the heck the last 8 1/2 months have gone:confused::confused:. this afternoon a friend is calling in and i'm going to have to clean the house beforehand and I'm waiting for the garage to phone about the water pump and i'm hoping it's not an expensive job!

Welcome carrot and all other newbies. Lurkers, stop lurking!

  • hi all -

big hellos to Reggie and Carrot.... welcome!

I'm alrighty today, pretty organised on the Xmas front, in fact so organised i think i may have forgotten something!!!

Going to take erin to see St Trinians tonight i think, haven't discussed it yet.. and then will brave late night asda for the last few bits, and some general groceries.. the actual xmas food is sorted!! i have never been so organised....I've always needed to spend the pay directly before xmas on stuff, whereas this year it's all been pretty much done from other monies....

SRM - have a safe trip!

Squizz - missed your goodbyes yesterday, maybe you'll be lurking or checking up, have a brill time in Venice!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Yeah - sound advice!

Although part of the reason I forgot her card was that I was too busy trying to think of a decent 'surprise' christmas gift for her! (settled on a nice pair of earrings in the end - hope she likes them).

Still need to get the card though!

Morning! I need some juice and cough medicine so I need to go out for that. It's ex's sign on day so I might try and negotiate - I give him a lift and in return he goes into the shop and gets my stuff, save me queueing!

I think I'll join you in the quest for losing weight, although I'll do it my way (healthy eating plate etc) rather than SW/WW. I'll be starting on the 9th though, don't really want to start on the 4th cos it's the day I go to Venice and I'm really looking forward to the food there!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
