** Hump day Wednesday 23rd Dec Chat**

Morning all

Ive been up since 1:30am :eek: fell asleep whatever time I logged off here last night then woke up and could not for the life of me get back to sleep. Had a chat with OH and then after lying in bed for 2 hours decided to get up and watch some telly (thanks Ames, glad I listened to your advice) Think I dozed off around 5:15 and then B was up at 6am. Bizarrly I don't really feel tired but I am sure I will do later!

Need to go to town and post some parcels this morning and then pick up meat for Boxing day...hope they have some beef as I haven't ordered anything!

Anyone got anything nice planned today?

    Morning all

Sal - Hope you get your beef sorted - a 20 minute nap later might be in order.

Bookie - Sounds like a lovely christmassy day - what are you cooking?

SRM - Have a great christmas.

Had a really carp nights sleep but loads to do today so I'm sure I'll be suitably shattered by bed time.

Had my gammon soaking for 24 hours so need to get that in the SC later - Beef needs to come out of the freezer ready to cook tomorrow. Need to get sausage meat out for stuffing and sausage rolls too....and make some pastry.

Taking DD's to see St Trinians 2 tomorrow - looking forward to that :D

    Morning everyone :)

Am on leave now so don't have to brave our horrid icy roads :) I can walk to food shops and post office today, but am saved a 40 mile round trip to the office.

Need to put PC down and go make OH breakfast.

    No bloody heating again:mad:

it is becoming a daily ritual of climbing on the roof with boiled kettle in hand to defrost the ice in the condense pipe.

Bit of a manic day for me here, need to take DS's Christmas shopping, take MIL for food shopping then prepare food for Christmas eve, eve, get together with neighbours:beer: going to make it as easy as possible by defrosting a load of frozen party food and sticking my Christmas ham on the table with some chutneys and cheese.

-4 here this morning, slightly warmer than yesterday:eek:

Take care on the roads today if you are out and about:A
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
