  • Just a quick update.. I have been offered a toyota yaris 1.3 T Spirit automatic petrol 5 door (06) 12000 miles on the clock for £6,300. I tried for £6K but the seller won't budge. It has one owner from new, an elderly lady. The car is pretty much in mint condition.

So what do you guys think? Is it a good price? I have checked parkers and whatcar valuation and they are around the 6500-6800 mark but not sure if they are accurate.

    Thanks!

Which shape is it? If it's the latest it's not a bad buy but check the service history. Alternatively PM me if you're interested in a nice 07 Nissan Note :D

Its the 06 facelift model so the new shape. Is £6,300 a good price for the car? What sort of depreciation will I be looking at?

    Thanks

I've got a diesel automatic Yaris which I've had for two years and am really pleased with, just one thing make sure you have a good test drive as the Yaris is really a semi-automatic and some people don't get on with them, I love it but it is down to personal preference.

I have an early Yaris -had it from new, it has done 152,000 miles - it has been brilliant - low maintenance - so cheap to run -so reliable - it has been outstanding.

    Good decision

Semi-automatics use a conventional gearbox but the clutch and gear change are computer controlled, the gear changes are not a smooth as a normal automatic, but semi-automatics are much cheaper to buy in the first place and use a lot less fuel than a full auto.
