Did anyone order anything from Vertbaudet using the £12 off a £12 spend with free delivery from the Grabbit board? (I think it was SS who posted it). I ordered a sunhat and swimsuit for Caitlin for our hols, which came to £12. I received an order confirmation via email but when I log into my account there is no sign of the order, so I'm guessing they've cancelled it. Unsurprising really, but was wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen?
I ordered some jeans for Seth for £11 therefore free ;) but only did so this morning, and havent got an account number on my email to be able to log in and check for you! I dont know if they will honour it or not, but if they send them and charge me I'll just return them for a refund. If they get in touch and dont honour it I'll just tell them to cancel it. If it works, its awesome!

:hello:Afternoon everyone. Unbelievably I've been out having a RL today so only just catching up!

I went to a lovely tea group this morning and met three lovely ladies. It was really fab to chat to others with similar aged little ones, and  to hear their birth stories. Following on from what Weezl was saying about talking about the birth, one of the ladies was recommending the hospital's birth afterthoughts service where a MW will come out to you and go through your notes and any questions you might have. Sounds like a good service although I think I'm pretty clear on what happened to me, the only thing I would like to know is how likely it is to happen again.

Happy Birthday to MFD's DSS! Hope you all enjoy the meal tonight.

Feelie- if you're around did the nanny come today? If so, how did it go?

Karen- I failed to progress beyond 2cm after 44 hours so ended up with an EMCS. I guess the next stage might be to break her waters then put her on a syntocin drip, if they haven't already done those things. I hope you have a lovely time at your Mum's and that she spoils you and Tegan.

Elle- glad you enjoyed your group.

Loving all the baby pictures, as ever. We certainly have some cuties!

It's unusual for the head not to engage with a first time baby but not in anyway a problem. Can make inductions longer because it usually means the body is not read for labour, but usually a long induction is caused by the hospital faffing about and not being prompt in moving onto the next method, hoping that nature takes it's course. I was induced at 35 weeks. 6am prostaglandin gel, 9am oxytocin drip, 10am epidural (for my BP rather than pain releif) 4pm waters broken, 9.33pm birth. My labour was great so I'm very pro induction if thats what everyone wants all round.

The head may not engage till the waters break, and even then not fully till she is nearly fully dilated.

Oh dear, even MSE has been taken over by the PC police, we wont be able to talk about xmas this year in case we offend people of other religions next!

Have just been to the harvester for a disastrous lunch with my friend and Seth, he refused to sit in the highchair so had to sit on my lap, refused to eat anything off the salad cart, ate half a slice of garlic bread and chucked my peas all over the floor, tantrumming cos I pushed my plate further away and he couldnt grab them, screamed so much when I drank my diet coke and wouldnt let him grab the glass that the people at the next table asked to be moved and then ate most of my chips! I am never taking him out for lunch in public again! Should have just got a dominoes :(

Aw - poor you! And poor Seth, sounds like he didn't have much fun today. Harvester have those crap highchairs that babies slip around inside IME.

We weren't allowed to celebrate christmas at work for years because of 1 member of staff so we have a winter ball instead. It is normally in January but this year it is March because the company is so busy. It's ace getting a big knees up when nobody else does :D

Seriously, just buy a long necklace with big beads, keeps Benjamin busy. I bought the one I am currently wearing for £2 in Boots yesterday.

Sparkle, hope you are feeling better. I'm seem to remember that someone on the pregnancy thread was a bit of an expert on dogs but can't remember who? My sister ended up getting a cage for her puppy because it kept trying to dig up the lino.

I like talking about my BS, which reminds me - I still need to wright it up for the thread. The only question I have is could I have done it better ? I was stalling so changed position but pushed too hard in the new position and Erin shot out and I got 2nd degree tears :(

Beenie, Dr Sears recommends putting pressure on the stomach while you burp baby, it works for Erin. It's only really needed in sitting burping though as you already have it if you are burping over the shoulder or knee.

Karen, it's great that Tegan is holding stuff already, Erin's not quite there yet. Hope you enjoy being at your mums, I spent 3 weeks at my mums over christmas and it was great.

Just read in another thread that:
A husband has the right to enter his name on the child’s birth certificate, whether or not he is actually the father.

Is this really true? I don't remember anything being mentioned in the paperwork for the birth certificate, although can't say I was really looking for it (or that with it to be honest, we registered him late!).

Aw - poor you! And poor Seth, sounds like he didn't have much fun today. Harvester have those crap highchairs that babies slip around inside IME.
The high chair was crap, and it had a hard bar across the back with no padding that he kept hitting his poor head on :( the strap was eased out to the max but still was so tight it pulled him down! I think if I'm ever brave enough to take him somewhere "proper" for lunch again I'll have to get one of those booster seats first.
They also said they didnt have anywhere I could put his folded up buggy so I had to put it under the table where my feet should have been, but then a lady in a wheelchair came in and once she'd got in a chair they took the wheelchair and put it out the way for her, which annoyed me, not sure if its wrong that it annoyed me though :o

Oh, Jenny, sorry I didnt get to the PO yet :o will try and get there tomorrow before work!
