Does anyone else have an almost 1-year old who has no concept of 'no' yet? It's driving me round the bend. Any tips? Is it too eaerly to read toddler taming or should I get on amazon and order a copy this afternoon?

Mine has no concept of No either. But when I say no, she looks at me and gives me her new smile (see avvy!) then carries on with what she was doing.

sami - weds is 10am til 12pm. Is that doable for you?

Or, we could aim for Friday 12th Feb if you like - I'm easy (but don't tell everyone ;))

Ooh is it this Wednesday? I can come if you two are.

    And yes, where is Mel?

leaving Benjamin in the car with the window open a crack like a poor puppy in the summer!!)

He'll be fine if you leave him with a bag of crisps and a bottle of coke. :p

Bless - I forget, she was quite early wasn't she?

:o sorry I should know that. Isn't it wonderful how babies just take it all in their stride!

I have a photo somewhere of Benjamins head at about a week old and you can count 27 little scabs on his head (he actually had more hair then LOL) at the time we were caught up in a blur of appointments and tests and you just get on with it don't you.

LOL Glam, I love kisses from Jack but I ain't quite so keen on yours...you always aim for the lips and I am more of a cheeky girl ;):D

Almost 9 weeks. And no you should not have remembered. We cant remember everything about eachothers babies!!

We were told it would go but it hasnt reduced at all in 8 months. I think its here to stay, but i dont mind. Makes her who she is and she is beautiful x

You were all kissed out by the time I got there so I never even got one (needs a turn your back in a huff smilie!) :p

I would never kiss anyone on the lips - don't know where they've been! ;)

Can I say I was talking about your 'virtual' lips without it being taken the wrong way ;):D

oh dear Beenie - you were destined not to eat the Pork after all!

Hi Dora - will let you know once I get a consensus on days.

Tia - have tanked Jack up tonight so instead of bottles at 4.30pm, 7.30pm & 11pm we've done 4.30pm, 7pm & 9pm. Hopefully he'll want a bottle around 9am tomorrow and then I can move it til we get to either 8pm-8am or 7.30pm-7.30am

Must go and get some sleep now in case J wakes in the night - I hate jabs, you get the poor tears & upset on the day and then a week to 10 days of upset afterwards!

Definitely off to bed now - I've just been posting admiration on the babies-born-in-August-2009-forum I frequent. There's one baby who's 26lbs at just under 6 months  the mummy posted a nappy picture and he's ripply dimply unhealthy looking cellulitey fat all over and only about as tall as Molly, who's about 5lbs less and exactly average. I've no idea how that even happens - surely babies can't get to be obese?

Anyway, I shall head off to bed. Goodnight again, lovelies :)

motm, i noticed you said you were from devon, we'r having a little break there in march!! any recommendations of any good days out? hope your poorly girl is feeling better btw,

Sidmouth is a good day out. Depends on the weather. March may be a bit cold still. Torquay's coastal zoo (living coasts) is quite good too.

http://www.lotstodo.co.uk/index.asp will give you some ideas

Daughter is slowly improving, thanks. Think she's given something to me though :o

    Hope you are well?

I'm exhausted - I think I shall take a shower and retire to bed to read and occasionally jab Husband with a toe because I have a very odd way of showing my love. I meant to do the dishes, but I'd have to put away the last lot and I don't wanna. Goodnight lovelies, big hugs for all littlies, a sneaky slice of birthday cake for MM and a big wet raspberry for feelie's NCT ladies and MOTM's OH's ex-practice manager and daughter's teacher. And another for anyone else I should be feeling angry at.

    And breathe ;)

Sounds like the best possible outcome you could have hoped for. (The work bit that is - not the ill daughter obviously.)

Lucy is happy with it. Silly girl feels guilty for woman losing her job though, but as I advised her, she didn't have to be mean.
