I think I must have broken the thread!

I'm trying to work out what I'm doing in the way of food for Izzy's party on Sunday. I'm planning:

egg sarnies (and maybe tuna or cheese ones too)
cheese cubes
peas
grapes
rasins
cocktail sausages & maybe sausage rolls too
baby crisps (those organix ones... I will avoid the carrot flavour though!)
breadsticks
plus a small plate of chocolate fingers & party rings (with some extras for the grown ups!)
jelly & ice-cream
birthday cake (MIL is making a maka-paka one )

Does that sound about right? Anything obvious I have forgotten? I'm planning to only have things that the babies can have too, and do it in enough quantities for the babies to have them for tea, and the grown-ups can nick some, rather than having separate grown-up snacks. Not sure if that is a good idea, or if would be better to have some separate snacks in case the grown-ups eat everything before tea time?!

I've been planning to have a real life and finally managed to find the cheapest way of getting to my BIL's wedding. Saved £800 in total so very pleased.

I'm here, but only while I have an energy boosting cuppa and choc bar then I'm off to Asda/Tesco Need to go get a big selection of sweeties to make a sweet jar for OH's mate's wife.. wouldn't it be a shame if I buy too many?

Speaking of sweeties, my boss (well, my old boss - ha!) has bought me a present... a 2010 sweetie calendar for my new office wall Saw it and thought of me, apparently :cool:

Spoke to her earlier as she phoned to say what time my meeting is next Wednesday.. tis 2pm with new boss but she's asked me to go in earlier to see the HR dept too (half of them finish early on Weds). Going to see them, then new boss, then back to HR to speak to temp cover lady and persuade her to make my/her office her own now. She's been refusing to put anything up on the walls/noticeboard because "it's Lynsey's office".. but not anymore. Must rescue my name plate too!

im here was watching the hairy bikers mums know best, loving the recipes (needed an hour to wind down worked a treat ) ... ive a very low cal low fat chocolate mouse im now going to enjoy ..

I haven't even thought to put the TV on, I love the hairy bikers. It is a novelty having it switched off, and with no shooty ps3 games blaring! Have now got East Enders on mute while i wait for QI to start

I was away doing a tesco order, overspent but I think I have enough meat for 2 weeks if I plan careful like.

And Amber was watching The Hairy Bikers, she is fascinated with food preparation, we reckon it's all the time spent in the coffee shop. She likes to sit up on one of the counters and watch nana, papa and Uncle L prep the food. Today she lunged at scones too, I don't blame her, they were maple syrup! (so got them to order me a big bag of craig millar scone mix)

lady i was watching it on iplayer as i missed it myself just good to switch off for an hour and get some good dinner ideas ... i love love love food/recipe programmes x

oh another thing happened today gay OH lied to why he needed to leave work (he worked in the same place as philip but left just as philip started) but texted saying could you pick up his payslip .. what he hadnt told us is that he told them he was still in hospital and nearly landed philip in !!!!!! so not happy with him .. philip thought quick didnt ask for the payslip and said he hadnt heard from him .. really hope this year gets better x

Was doing the rice for tea and came in and OH was giving Jack a bottle :eek: - 'Cos he was hungry' he was supposed to have it after his bath. He did drink it all but I am annoyed cos it has taken me 40 minutes to get it him down and I've ended up putting him on his tummy. IT's the only way he'll go off during the day on his own and the only way he would go down tonight. I tried to turn him but he started crying again.

Am a bit worried about him being on his tum (paranoid, I Know!) so will probably check on him loads and then pop him on his back after his DF.

After my moan about him not rolling - he's actually started to try. He manages to get his !!!!! in the air but can't quite get over :rotfl:

Lady - we have Fifa on PS3 or shooty games or racing :cool: Does my swede in :mad:
