I was wondering that too, cheap meals out are one of the many things I like about Swansea :D

Welcome to frugaldom! I haven't got off to a fantastic start, bought the cutest toy laptop and an angel outfit for my niece today - at least the angel costume was reduced :o

Excluding all bills, I personally would think that £40.00 P/M would be too much for me. SWMBO I would guess at around the same TBH. So we are good really.
ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)
    NOV 2021 O/S AMOUNT £1,694.41 OUR DEBT REDUCED BY £104,759.59 by std regular, over-payments & off-setting.

There's loads of nice places you can go in and around Swansea,

    Maes Yr Haf (Three Cliff's)
    The Great House (Laleston)
    La Parilla (SA1)
    Chelsea Cafe

3 courses, 2 coffee's a couple of nice bottles of wine and your in three figures.

Sounds delicious, but the taxi home would be a bit steep for me!;) I do think everyone should have a treat to look forward to every month. Mark are you a MFW? EDIT: ignore me, just read your signature! Doh!!

I'm not committed enough to clear my mortgage in a few years like, financial bliss will do!

We bought our 2nd house in 2006 for 216k with a 140k mortgage its on a fixed rate until 2011 and the mortgage was due to finish when i'm 51(2031). I'm 29 now, wife is 30 and we have a daughter nearly 1.
Its a good size 4 bed detached so we wont need to move again.

Providing interest rates dont go sky high I think we can clear our mortgage in 11/12 years (aged 40/41ish) without any problem,i've been playing around with mortgage calculators.

We enjoy our night out once a month and would rather this than 2 or 3 cheaper nights out where the food isnt so good and the service poor not to mention we couldnt get baby sitters that often!

So yes i am a mfw but more part time not full time!

Ooh agreed, La Parrilla is very nice. But I thought you meant £100 each, not £100 per couple :o:rotfl::rotfl:
