What can i say, i find thread hijacking rude. Especially when its unrelated. I still offered facts though that will help them to determine their position, however I chose to communicate it lol.

Bad situation, maybe writing to H/O will get some good will gesture but you have no right to compensation. Brace yourself though, you will be called a troll at some point because you have mentioned compo for something that isn't deserving of it.

Did I hear compo:D. No right to compo here but always a chance of goodwill payment. Spoilt "holiday of a lifetime" is a good starting point, can't put a price on that, etc etc, but as it's the only option £x will have do do...

Don't worry, only 2/3 will call you a troll because you have mentioned compo.
