Nice Xmas Gift... South East/Southern Water

Thanks Yakky... so the two companies do exchange information then... so that Southern Water can calculate the cost of drainage (based on the metered water used),
I know our gutters/downpipes go down into the ground and I assume into the drains. In the meter application pack that I have now received from South East Water it doesn't seem to ask about surface water and drainage, however it mentions about water softeners and if you have one fitted you must be on a meter. We do have a water softener but I don't understand how they would use anymore water or is it the fact that extra salt is being put into the water? Anyone know why this seems to be an issue?
Happy new year to you all.0 -
The water softeners that I know of, use water combined with the salt to renergise the resin in the softener at certain points of usage by flushing. Or something like that.3.78 kWp PV SolarEdge with iBoost South facing.
