Does anybody know how I can find out the voltage!?
Solicitor is now closed for xmas!!

    Thank you
    Solicitor wouldn't know.

Go to pylon, see if there is a plate saying 'Danger 42 Volts'.

Go to pylon, take pics, post here and ask for opinion. [1 full image, 1 closeup of complete insulator string]

Go to pylon, count number of insulator disks on insulator string, report here and ask for opinion.

  • Thank you I will do this and post details tomorrow.
  • Did you noticed the pylon when you visited, what was your thoughts on it, and were you concerned by it's proximity? As mentioned there are no proven hazards, but it will certainly put people off should you need to sell it.

My school had a pylon next to the playing field and it did buzz quite loudly in the rain, but not loud enough to hear inside, it would be annoying though.

This has never been proven and there is no known mechanism by which low frequency electromagnetic fields can cause cancer. However there's a lot of articles on the internet that claim it has, mostly by eco / green types who would have us all living as vegetarians in mud huts.

    It's not been proven... yet.

At one time, there was no 'known mechanism' by which objects fell to earth when dropped. They just did. The known mechanism only existed after Newton put forward the law of gravity. Before that, the 'law' didn't exist, but its effects did.

Scientific truth varies according to timeframe. Maybe one day something will emerge which explains the effects better than scientists can do today. Or would you suggest we've 'discovered everything that can be discovered' ...?
