  • Contrary to what it says on the returns email, you WILL receive your postage costs back as I do understand your frustration and that when you ordered it was still showing as Sound Asleep Pillow. Best wishes Shelley findmeagift
  • yea obviously when i ordered the SOUND ASLEEP PILLOWS i was expecting the SOUND ASLEEP PILLOWS , but then i check on this site and hukd i saw people had been receiving another brand , mine came today not opening them
  • This happened to me too but I ordered a few days ago (just collected from post office) and my confirmation of order specifically says Sound Asleep pillow. Just found this thread as I had spotted the deal on Hot UK Deals.

The problem is even if you can return when you are buying as gifts it doesn't leave time to do much about it by way of alternative purchases.
  • my order confirmation says the same sound asleep pillow so why send out fake versions, i'm not giving them as gifts. I would like to know if find me a gift actually have any of the genuine version to send out as replacements?
  • I know this doesn't make it right but you might be able to do a last minute dash to Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001801&productId=1500491545&langId=-1&engine=froogle&keyword=Sound+Asleep+MP3+Compatible+Pillow&_$ja=tsid:11527%7Ccc:%7Cprd:0326203%7Ccat:Bedding+And+Electric+Blankets

My confirmation also says sound asleep pillow but I'm not sure wat was on the website when I bought on monday. I just assumed they were as I had thought about one even when I saw them earlier at £16 ( I suffer from tinnitus) Are the sound asleep ones much better ? I see Tescos have them for £12 .
  • Also received the ones in the red package and have sent them an email. Will keep you posted on their reply. I don't think they should be allowed to get away with this in the hope everyone will just accept them because its so close to Christmas!! Have threatened them with Trading Standards.
  • I missed getting to the shops this afternoon, so not sure what to do. I don't actually know how much better the genuine Sound Asleep ones are, although given they are branded they are likely to be more expensive so they are 'better' in that sense if nothing else. I'd be interested to know if anyone has opened theirs and what they think?

In truth I'd never heard of them before, but wouldn't have bought them as extra little presents had they not seemed like a good buy/brand iyswim (I was comparing the price to Sound Asleep pillows at different retailers before making my decision to buy there).

I understand mistakes happen which is fair enough and I think this might be a very small company? But, on the other hand, when you are buying something you are buying it based on the brand/information given out aren't you. Ah well, just have to wait and see. Off to open a bottle of something and get Christmas started!

Oh are the pillows sent out not good then? Id never heard of them before so are the ones sent out not genuine?

Worried now - mine still sealed in the packs - they do feel quite thin for pillows but I was going to put it on top of my main pillows? Ones for me ones for a friends birthday gift.

Maybe I need to email them now - if they are not a genuine product will ask for a refund but dont want to pay return postage - wonder if they arrange collection as hard for me to get to a post office as I dont drive.

Shame if its not such a good deal but Im happy with the 3 small items I ordered at the same time.

  • I've not opened the ones I've received yesterday, but do have a sound asleep pillow already which I am impressed with. There are a couple of comments on HDUK from people who have both....
KARENGI - The pillow itself is poor quality and the sound comes blaring out (unlike the sound asleep pillow I have which you can hardy hear unless your head is on the pillow).
SPOCKIE - First impression was not too good. When I tried it out I noticed the pillow wasn't very well stuffed and the speaker was quite visible on one side of the pillow. Also the cable sticking out terminates on a 3.5 socket and not a plug as I had expected so I had to get a male to male lead to plug in my mp3 player. When I tried it out I wasn't impressed by the quality of the sound nor was it comfortable on the speaker side of the pillow. Turning over the pillow, the sound becomed too quite and muffled

I replied to the original response (post #61) and have asked for the Director's response to the supposed phone message that his staff have left for him - no response today so I'll keep you updated....
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?
