:beer:Hello everyone
Snow was very bad here (9inches) so i could not go to work (11miles away) but turns out the girls went in (we work in a nursery) and got sent home at 1pm as the kids parents started to come very early (panicking) that they wouldn't be able to pick them up later due to snow.Hoping to go into work tomorrow , no work = no pay LOL.
Money is very short this month and due to be short next month (no more overtime as we are over staffed at work) so bit of a bummer.
I have a horrid cold which tonight has started annoying my asthma. I have been waking myself up in the night to drink water because my lips keep drying out and splitting quite badly despite good old vasilene lol. xx
Poor you hon - bit rotten of your bosses not to pay you or at least let you have a days holiday. Hope you're feeling better soon, I haven't had a bad cold for ages so know I'm due one - at least the weekends coming, will you get a chance to rest up?"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

You try and get your feet up for 5 mins, before all the darling " I've got a stain on the shirt, darling, did I not say it was all the shirts, that bolognese sauce kept dripping"...... won't go into smelly socks!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
:Dapologies 1st, as I can't remember the lovely lady - who recommended Tesco.
Had a fun day (my poor mother), she was going to exercise / prevention clinic, - dropped dd at school, dropped mother, then up to Comet (brill got the refund), quick look round Boots, New Sat Nav from Halfords, quick flick to Sainsburys, hardly anything left in xmas sale, got dd a angel halo, couple bath confetti sets, then as I was being nice took dad to Mcdonalds for a coffee (very mse - used the stickie vouchers - free drinks), by then it was 11.45, thought we'd better get mother..... the centre had made a boob, she was booked in for the next course, was due to start in Feb, - she even rang up Mon afternoon to double check coz of the weather) she'd rang dads mobile (his was off), rang mine, (naughty me - forgot to take it off silent after being in Comet), she'd been waiting for us since 10.10am.......:D:rotfl:
That then turned into a trip to Tesco (wasn't sure on the weather - went the right day!!)
Got the last 2 mugs - still got the £3.87 price tag
Wack of gift tags - reduced 19p WTP and Hannah Montana (never have enough kids tags)
Wrapping paper - reduced to 24p roll
Parcel stickers - 19p
Mini gift bags - 11p
set of gift bags - 74p
Best  picked up 2 sets of make ur own cards - came through till at £2.50, queried it, this stroppy supervisor (upset him once when I was auditing the store, he had to get the problem retified, brilliant, the power from an ID badge), and he was gone so just paid for the order. take them back to CS and return them.
he comes back and said there priced wrong - they should be £1.50, so all innoncently, I said, Oh I've paid for the shopping now didn't know how long you'd be, we'd better go to customer services, and refund there (my poor dad - he said your not complaining..... he had a gentle step on the toe "shut up".. course double refund, so got £4.00 back...
The weather been more snow, stay in, be flat on my rear otherwise, at least get my OU done.
I've finished knitting a matinee jacket, booties, bonnet and mitts in pale lilac, for dds ex nursery teacher, (the patterns older than me!!).
With the weather being forecast this bad..... be doing gift tags at the weekend, and help dd make up her Hannah Montana bag, and start planning Jans challenge........be prepared.... dd is helping me!!!! xx:cool:
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Glad you got lots of things in Tescos - what mugs did you get hon??? i'm so tempted to open my cappuccino mug mmmm but i'm going to leave it for now
I'm kinda wanting to get to the other 2 tescos in town and see what they have on sale... funny how they differ and they are only less than 5 mins away.
no bargains today, was busy doing some crafting today... made a nice little notelet box for my all year round recipe cards ( a whole different thread -sorry for going off track) and feeling really pleased with the lovely outcome albeit that I had to salvage it after making such a silly mistake on my lovely new piece of card....
Sounds like most of you found some fab bargains well done you
