How many cups worth of hot choco do u put in , one or two if so do u wrap them in the individual bags?? how early can u make these , will they still be fresh by xmas? sorry loads of questions lol x
I put in 5 quite heaped teaspoons (1 mugs worth), I also put the choc powder in an individual bag then seal with a sandwich bag tie and the sellotape over to give a flat finish, the choc chips and marshmallows then just go on top and then twist the bag tightly and tie with a another tie and then the tinsel xx They should stay fresh for xmas xxNever buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!! :whistle:0 -
A big thank you to legend mum and elysia2003 for your kind words. Made me feel a bit better thank you.
junior_j - We just went to my brothers for the weekend, nothing special but nice to get away from the chores for a couple of nights
Just who is voting for Wagner on X factor? Makes you think doesn't it? Is it a sympathy vote? I don't know about you but I think One Direction will be the clear winners anyway...
My snowman soup ingredients are still sitting on the side ready to make, I was scared the marshmallows would go hard if I opened them!! I suppose if they are in a tied up cone they should be fine shouldn't they???A small Thank You can make a BIG difference0 -

mummyslittleboy - They look amazing
well done! I wish I was as organized! I am getting better at it though lol.. slowly but surely hey
I am off to London on Saturday to babysit for a friend (even though I live in Portsmouth a 2.5 hour coach journey away lol) so if i see anything cheap/nice/unusual there i will pick it up.
Girls , i am totally stuck on what to get my mum this year all i have in mind is a ds game i know she wants and some glitter bath bombs from lush that i know she would like. I usually spoil her including a nintendo ds and huge hamper i made her for mothers day (shes like my best friend and i love her so much) so its important for me to get her some thing really nice for birthday i brought her photos and nice frames , meals , vouchers , clothes ect so some thing nice but out of the ordinary would be nice she has no particular hobby , has no wants for dvds and is 51 years oldx

I am only organised as they were for a customer :rotfl: I still have all mine to do
How about a relax and pamper hamper for your mum, big basket filled with goodies arrange it all so it looks nice and use some cellophane and ribbon to finish it of, you could put in new pj's dressing gown, bottle of wine, chocs, ds game some really nice smellys, a voucher for a spa day,or voucher to have her nails done.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
Morning everyone
Had to get up early this morning to let OH in as he was getting home before 7 and the front door was locked from inside but have spent the morning on a fruitful mission lol.
Last night I was searching the online shops to see if I could get a couple of vests to go with the pyjama bottoms I had made, searched everywhere, then as a last thought went on Half Cost web site. Found just what I was looking for but better, they had packs of two fruit of the loom vests for £1.99 and if you bought one pack you could have another free. So I ordered a pack of white and a pack of ivory which is just what I was looking for but then as I was registering for the site it went down and kept getting an error message saying they were fixing the site so ended up leaving it till this morning.
Went on again this morning and luckily my registration had gone through and my vests were still in the basket, and they had an offer on for this week no pp if you spend over £10 so thought I would have a look and see if there was anything else I could buy. Found a lavender coloured bath towel and bath sheet which is what I wanted for eldest daughter to go with her lilac coloured bits for Xmas. Also some photo paper which I need as run out, this was on offer of buy one get one free too so bought a pack of photo paper that looks like canvas too and will put this in my sisters xmas box with her craft stuff. Got a pair of pink girls pyjamas too for Grand daugther and the lot only came to £10.17 so very pleased with that. Need some nice lilac coloured ribbon now when I go up the town and may be some white and cream to tie up the pyjma sets (have to check my stash first but sure I dont have any left in those colours).
Just hope it all comes ok now, said on the site that there were plenty of each item left so should be ok.
Toffeeapple - glad you had a nice weekend xx0 -
Mummyslittleboy - those look amazing!
I have to wait for my ebay orders to come before I can make anything else. Flourgirl (on one of the other threads) has posted some little chocolates with a Christmas pudding wrapper on - I'd love to have a go at those too.
I have a list to make now:
Sock monkeys
Christmas pudding chocs
Pots of gold
Reindeer food
Calender on coaster
I also saw an advent calender on one of the other threads, counting down to Christmas obviously - but I want to make DD2 one, counting down from Boxing day to her birthday 18th Jan. We usually just hang up a chart I've handdrawn and she marks the days off. Hopefully with this she'll be able to use every year.
I'd best get cracking!I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
