    Hello all :j
Sounds like you've all been busy.............I had every intention of doing loads but the painter came and he was in and out then young girl came up to hoover and mop the floor so any plans I had sort of went out the window.
Oh well, there's always another day.............lol:rotfl:

I did start sorting some books out and inside one I found about 6 sheets of hand made paper -only small sheets but nice for a card -in a sort of oatmeal colour.
They were inside a Grandparents Book I'd got from charity shop, unused, but never got to fill it in -having 3 grandchildren its hard but I could do it for the youngest -he's only 3 but his mum and dad would love it to put in his ''memory box'' for when he's older.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I dont know mary how you manage to concentrate with all the people coming and going...it sounds great , lots of visitors, but i`d have to lock the door to make something because I`m a terrible chatter box...:)

    Hello all :j
Well, painter not here, young girl is coming up tomorrow to do the upstairs so me and OH battled with changing the bed ! What a carry on, then we saw in todays paper a lady has come up with the idea of a duvet cover that fastens three sides.......easy peasy........lay cover on bed, lay duvet on cover, fold over cover and fasten ! I want one !!!!!:p
Wore me out doing that so the rest of the day has been spent doing nothing............oh dear me.......I keep saying I shouldn't waste my time but then I think, what the heck, why not ..............lol:rotfl:

Earphones have come from Playcom. so they can go straight back...........don't think I'll bother to open them......just stick a label on ''return to sender' - but if I do that there's no way of claiming my money back is there ? I've e mailed them and got no reply
Or shall I keep them, cut my losses and stick them in as an extra for grandson ?
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hi everyone

Not too bad off with the challenges, I already have lists as long as my arm for gifts etc. Daughter is sorted for back to school as I bought her new uniform before she finished last term. As for sorting out wardrobe, my eldest daughter mentioned the other day that she wanted to bouy some bits so the kids could do some cutting out and sticking and I remembered I had a very large box full of scraps of paper etc left over from my card making days so dragged it out yesterday and sent it round so I have a nice space now.

We also spent most of the day yesterday sorting out the loft (OH had to go up the ladder as I can't climb up there any more but two grand sons came round to help out). Didnt find anything worth selling as it was all a load of rubbish so OH had to take two trips to the dump this morning.

He did find two and a half rolls of a nice gold coloured wallpaper which will go nicely in our bedroom, we have been trying to get the room decorated since just after Xmas but hadnt got round to buying the rest of the paper. I will have a go over the weekend in between listening to the football and watching the Grand Prix and see if I can finish it all off.

Bought some paint in 99p shop too ready for decorating out spare room (my craft room which will double up as spare bedroom). Got a nice ligth off white colour and at 99p for Dulux its brilliant value for money.

OH found a nice gold watch yesterday while clearing out the loft, it was in with his papers and cant remember where it came from. Its a small ladies watch so was probably his mum's but we are going to get a new battery for it and it will be an extra gift for youngest daugther for Xmas.

Have finished making shorts and jumpers for two football bears, and nearly finished the third, then only have to make them some little scarves and they will be all done.

Sorted out ExMil's box of bits for Xmas, I found some printed note paper and envelopes to match in my box of presents that I had bought before at a charity shop years ago, added these to 3 books of stamps (free from doing surveys), some white envelopes (left over from cardmaking), a note pad (about £1 from Tesco), smaller note pad with her name on and pen to match (free from Vistaprint), pack of notelets and envelopes (were two for £1 last year from Works), some normal pens (half a pack that I bought in 99p store but were two packs for 99p) and a pack pf padded envelopes (79p from Wilkinsons). So total for bits was about £2.50 and the box to put them in was £2.99. Very pleased with the result as it is quite heavy now and she will like it all.

Well, thats all the money saving for the moment. Back to the knitting. Have a nice weekend everyone xx

    The great plan -
Got some small plastic baskets in Morrisons last yr - they were 6 for £1= 17p

    Each have

Cafeteire Pot - £1 (from poundland)
    Teatowel (got pck 5 - 98p be 20p)
    Mug - 25p (4 for £1)
2 mini boxes cereal (split multi pack. Adsa own brand £1. for 8 boxes (24p)
selection of cappucino, caffee latte sachets (Poundland do them boxes 10 sachets each box (2 of each flavour) 20p
    3 x Mini jams (£1 for 5 in Morrisons - get a bulk and split into 3s) 60p
Pack of mini shortbreads - 30p (multipack tesco about £1.00)
Poached egg holder and spoon 15p (got pack 4 for 60p, reduced in Store 21, get them from poundland as well)

    £3.14
Put some cello wrap round it.

by us 2 of the houses are older gentleman widows - they have everything - more a personal present that they can use.

I'm doing one for Uncle and Aunt - recycling a wicker basket that had flowers in, just add another mug, and more sachets - still come in under £3.50...... thats half term projects doing baskets.

    xx
