An update, well after scaring me senseless with the email, they have emailed me today and have recieved the glasses (sighs with relief).
But thanks for your help on my situ just in case things hadn't gone this way, much appreciated as always...merry christmas :T0 -
Hi Claribel,
Seems like it's all over already!
I'm sorry the first email scared you so much - it's a difficult balance to tread to be honest. It's true that it is an automated email, and only goes out after the due date of when the glasses should've been returned has passed.
We won't charge people until we've made every effort to contact them and find out if anything is wrong. However obviously we need to chase late Home trial packs, otherwise we run out of glasses.
I'm glad it all got sorted out though. Any other questions just ask.
Have a great christmas!“Official Company Representative

Might be a good idea to consider rewording your automated email, particularly in light of the snow we've had recently? You sound fairly reasonable, but that obviously didn't come across in the email the OP received or she wouldn't have sounded so concerned.
Glad everything worked out for both parties though.0
