no we are the ones speaking on the side of reason and resposibility not the everything now and sod the consequences brigade
Is that the royal we?
Who exactly are you speaking on behalf of?
Do you understand debt?
Do you understand how the banks make money out of it?
Do you have the ability to provide answers to my questions? Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0 -
I think it's unfair for people to judge me and others without knowing our situations..
This forum is about reclaiming bank charges.. whats the point of coming here if you are only going to try to wind people up?
Surely that would be like me joining an x factor forum and saying how rubbish it is etc.. theres no point to it
A good post by dunstonh there.. offering good points.. although he isnt for the reclaiming, he isn't judging anyone.0 -
I think we probably agree - you were noting the "banks are innocent"/"debtors are stupid" tone that came across from OP. I was noting the "we were misled" "its not our fault" tone that following posters seemed to make.
the truth is somewhere in the middle we weren't all stupid/reckless, but equally some of us were entrapped/enticed
happy MSE xmasI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Someone abusing the account will be in debt. The account cannot be closed whilst its in debt. A badly run account like that would be closed if it returned to credit..
Yes, the 31 day letter once the account was back in order: no further credits, payments only to extent of cleared funds, and closing cheque to be sent at end of notice period.
But sometimes that was never going to happen and cost and hassle wise it was least worst to seek recovery another way.0 -
Can you please provide the research or facts that you base this "statement" on.
Sorry, but you are totally and utterly wrong on that- the statement is complete and utter nonsense.0 -
