Hi All.
I have sent this company 3 e-mails, and they have only replied to one, which was nothing to do with what i asked them.
I basically have a debt of £480 to orange, but Orange have now told me that the company should contact orange as the debt is for £96 (airtime) and the rest can be put on hold.
I have got an extension number and department of the person who has informed me, but they have now sent me a legal notification despite i have been e-mailing them.
The debt is also in the wrong name (masden not marsden - surly this is something illegal ie im not liable for the debt?
Ive now e-mailed them again with all past e-mails, so what else can i do? there phones aint working?
Thanks
Marsden

An incorrect name is not a get out cause, you will still have signed a contract with orange so will have to pay.
Have they explained why the charges are £480, but orange only want £96. A debt collector can't add an unfair amount of charges for debt collection, especially when the actual debt is quite small.
I would drop this in the debt (DFW) forums - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=76Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
oo i had them chasing me for an unpaid electric bill that a previous tennent ran up......however i was very lucky as they had also overpaid on some meter readings , so when i rang up scottish power i ended up 16p in credit thus ending the stressfull letters from BCW...........0
