Can you please add my OH on this challenge too? He doesn't have a username so you could just put him down as Primula's OH!!. He thought it was a great idea.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello Everyone,

Can I join this challenge please. It's a really achievable one. I already do the Make £10 a day (very successfully so far!) but all that money goes to pay off my debts.

I would love to start next year with £365 so this seems like a good idea. I don't have any sealed money jars although I bought one for each of my three kids for their stocking. Might do the make-up bag trick for a while till I get my hands on one. lol!

Me and DD who's 12 also decided to start a christmas shopping jar. We go to Birmingham one weekend in December for a mother and girlie day out but I'm always skint by the time we go. So hence the Birmingham Fund which we put £2 a week into.

These little challenges keep me focussed and they really pay off. If I could join that would be great. I'm off to update my sig.

  • Can you believe my local cheapy shop sold out of savings tins!!!

I have applied for an online savings account today so hopefully should receive the paperwork next week. I get paid monthly so this might be easier for me to save to the total as I think paying in everyday might be a struggle (apart from food shopping day)

Anyway the cheapy shop did have 2010 diaries for sale, they were 'buy one get one free' so I did come away with a spending diary to log absolutely everything in which will help keep me on track :D

Surprised at how I am really geared up for this savings challenge. I feel really determined to change old habits this year and start saving!:D

  • Really excited about a sealed tin. Didn't even look at any clothes in the sale whilst shopping today, just wanted to get home to find a place for the tin! How sad.

Well done to all those not using a sealed tin but I haven't got the will power so the £2 spend seemed a wise purchase.

I have to stop rattling it now like some demented old crow. My OH thinks I've really lost it but he won't be laughing when I cut it open in a year....ha ha ha.
