o2 pay as you go better value than contract?

I just saw the advert for o2 payG, it is unlimited texts, unlimited internet, when you top up £15 a month. I know you have to top up every month for this, but basically if you were to do this, you would be getting:

60mins to other network mobiles
Unlimited texts
Unlimited Web usage

I am currently on £15 a month o2 contract, unlimited texts, 100mins, and free samsung jet, but I guess I have to take into account the free phone I got with my contract.

Is there any way I can get cheap internet on o2 on contract?

Also, on the samsung jet, does anyone know how to properly delete the emails in exchange activesync because it just puts a line through them and allows you to restore them. I can't delete them permanently, and how can I just completely delete everything to do with my account on exchange activesync?
