Call 18866 Warning

I received an email from the 18866 people and noticed at the bottom that they say "Please note: from the 22nd of June calls via 18866 will be billed per minute". I was already disillusioned with these people but if they are switching to charging per minute then I'll be kissing them goodbye once and for all.

Exactly, for UK 01/02 calls, "Zero pea per minute" is the same as zero pea per second in my book.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

However, as EL says, 18185 has been cheaper for some time now (4p connection and 5p/minute weekdays [2p/minute weekends]).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. I've been thinking about this one and wonder when the w/end rate starts
Checked the website and can't see what is weekday and when the w/end starts, it could be that its not until 8.00 am or even 9.00 am judging by the time the post was made and the user made the call too early.0 -
1899 is 3p on weekends and 10p on weekdays to mobiles and then ofcourse the 3p connection charge,,,,,
HTHUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -
1886 was wondeful for a while, especially when it was just 1p connection chrage. However it would have to be weighed up whether it is worth the connection fee for a brief day tme call. What is the next best option for day time calls?Frugal Living Challenge 2024 CROFT Crafting: £151.99/250, R (visiting daughter): £165/£500 Outside activities: £214/244 (Allotment), Outside 2 (Mud monsters et al) £152 F(Family visits): £133/400 Tummy (food budget): Aiming to use full budget monthly of £2000
