after reading about peoples buys of clothes on ebay I had a little look(not actually going to buy...honest!!!!!)
just wondered what happens if things don't fit?I have lots of clothes in different sizes bought from the same range,it varies according to style so how do you know what will fit?Apart from Windsmoor trousers which I can buy without trying I always have to try everything.

pot luck!! i bought my newest fron littlewoods outlet on there, pretty sure it should fit.

i am having similar prob tho as sellling stuff that although labelled in my size doesn't ft, best advice i was given was to list all dimensions that way it is harder for buyer to complain!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Hi all. Lula, I took your words to heart and returned a pair of shoes and a black dress. I have to confess though that I have bought a top and a pair of jeans from M&S so my new total is £99. I think that gets me back in the challenge (please!) I'm actually not too pleased with the jeans so I'm thinking of returning them and dying the ones I have already. Has anyone done this? I'd like to restore them to the dark indigo colour and get rid of the white knees.

Have just thought, I waste so much time buying things and then returning them. I just had to have the dress from Laura Ashley, I couldn't contemplate leaving the shop without it, even though it was a third of the budget and I clearly didn't need it. Then I had a panic as I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to return it within the 14 days and was really worried I'd be stuck with it! What a massive waste of time, energy and emotion! There's a lesson to be learnt there I think...

I'm finding this challenge really hard, as I've realised I could easily spend £100 each month. I went out last night and tried on loads of stuff in my wardrobe, mostly too small. I have loads of clothes but nothing to wear. So, I've resolved to lose weight and start being more creative with what I wear. That should help me with the budget. Also, I need to start ebaying but I find that sooo tedious. I love it when the money starts rolling in though.

    Must try harder!

Hey Blondie get thyself on ebay! That way you can have a clear out AND get some cash in which you can then spend on clothes guilt free! :jI've just sold something else today and I'm buzzing. Off work this week so the extra cash will be very handy! Lula can you add £18.51 to my sig please for my sale.

No personal spend yet for me this year. :A Will need to get a few new work bits next month as the shop reopens and we will be having a posh opening do. Have seen a frock and bracelet I think would do nicely and should have Quidco money to cover it, if it pays out.

  • £3.49 spend to declare please Lula-Hula...

a brown cotton/wool mix dress, with crochet details on hem and sleeve. Only george originally, but goes fab with my vintage boots and think will get some wear out of it whilst the weather is still foul...

Wore my free dress yesterday, got lots of compliments on it, and nobody could tell about the minor damage. :D

    Happy Valentine's day everyone....

Mr Luxor bought me a naff string of fake 'pearls' - shhh don't tell him! :o- as they were way too long I managed to persuade him to take them back to M&S.
I'm now wearing a comfy goes-with-jeans navy jumper that cost the same as the necklace that would NEVER have been worn. Both happy & no spend to declare :D

Sad to say my 'best' spring cotton jumper which is light pink has come out of the drawer with odd blue/green splodges here & there. I was panicking about mildew, then I remembered a slight accident with a felt pen last year .... can't cover the splodges with applique or pretty buttons so may well have to track down a new jumper, unless I can manage till my birthday (end of March)

was cross with myself as I ordered loads of things form the boden sale (promptly sent it all back and it was free postage so didnt spend a penny!) but I was sooo cross with myself for even looking in the first place! I was panic buying as I do need some more smart things as Ive changed jobs and boden is lovely but well out of my price range unless a sale. No damage done and a lesson learnt though!

Hey Chuggingtongirl, don't want to tempt you needlessly, but since you need new work clothes, I got my lovely wool-mix Boden work trousers on ebay for £5 just before christmas...

Nothing to declare. Wqas a very good girl and didn't buy anything, even though my lovely friend dragged me shopping after ice-skating. Even into the charity shops, which she knows are my particular weakness! :A (me, not my friend ;))

  • I went to Matalan (oooops!) - however, they didn't have much left in a size 10 in all the basic tops - so only got 2. Plus tried on 10 skirts/tops/shirts/dresses - and decided to only get the two items I really liked (I lovely dress and matching shoe-boots)!

BUT I still hadn't spent the £45 my grandparents gave me for xmas - so it doesn't count!

Christmas cash all spent up now, so any spending from now on will count (eek!) :rotfl:

    Well done everyone!!!

  • Congrats GFH! :j

I have to finally declare a spend  OH wanted to go into Debenhams on Friday as he had a voucher, and I found a lovely pair of Wallis trousers for work reduced from £40 to £10 - I really struggle to find trousers to fit as I'm quite short but usually a bit too tall for petite sizes.. but these are petite 12 and fit perfectly :D And OH didn't spend all of his voucher so let me use the 'change' meaning that they only cost me £8.40!
