I completed my 12 month contract last year and now courrently into month 6 of 2nd year but Im not sure its a contract. NTL staff said no but I am not 100% sure.
Usually after completed 1st 12 months contract, if you carry on using it, do you go into another 12 month contract?
And those that have tried to cancel, what did they offer?

As soon as its expired you're free to go if you like, if not they'll continue the service. Call their cancellations dept & you'll go through to their retentions dept and they'll offer the deals etc0

Once you have completed your initial contract you are free to move onto whichever broadband supplier you care to. Tiscali are one of the cheapest at moment although orange are doing free broadband with mobile contracts.0

The problem I've found is that you cant use any other provider if you have NTL phone line, (double check this), but if you riing them they might give you a reduction in costs. They reduced mine by over £6 a month. After the first 12 months you are not on a contract. The curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile0
