Delivery Driver Nightmares!!!
Comments

Well i live in a rural property and am thinking of taking my number down. Many other houses don't have them so drivers get to my house , see they have passed the house they want and turn round in my drive, set the dog barking so we get up to see if we've got visitors ; damned annoying when it's the tenth time that day.0

worse thing people do is insist that there house name is the address not the no on the door makes delivering very had. the reason makes their address sound posh, to delivery drivers it makes the owners to be stupid idiots. lol
:rotfl: given up on tesco do a lot os boots offers. but weekends are now in orange trackside b. lol
now a race marshal at silverstone.:beer:0 -
Why do delivery drivers not leave parcels with neighbours. Some do, some dont.
Why do they sometimes not bother even trying to deliver anything (you can tell as there is no card left) so you need to drive 30miles to the nearest depot to collect yourself?
Why do they generally drive like they are on the Nurburgring, with a binary throttle?
Why can't they wait for people to actually get up on a Saturday morning at 8am to answer the door? hint: curtains are closed.0 -
well how long is long enough? yet again drivers have time constraints.all you need to hear is someone moving to know they are coming.you would think some live in the easy wing of their property given how long they takehousesitter wrote: »Why do delivery drivers not leave parcels with neighbours. we have a new build of flats where after eventually actually putting numbers on the doors they realised they got them all wrong
so now people get mail to both versions of addresses
Oh, how I love new flats, especially when they put the letterboxes on the inside of the front (access controlled) door, so that you can't even get to them to leave a card!!0 -
Op makes a good point though, and TomTom is useless for finding rural houses as the postcode is a 1 sq mile area in the sticks. They should provide a contact number for the consignee so the courier can phone and ask directions. I remember one house 6 miles from the main road in Mid Wales down forestry tracks, found customer in, result, told me to leave future parcels in pub on main road, even signed the waiver form to take back to the office.0

Its not just houses. Trying to find some company premises without advance knowledge can be almost impossible, when even a small sign somewhere could make life so much easier, and more efficient.0

The worse ones are the retirement apartments with an entryphone system, No letterboxes, and if you try other flats you get an earful off the warden or other residents. If you try the wardens flat they are off duty and you get a callcentre the other side of the country.0 -

Because you haven't paid the courier company enough to make it worth their while traipsing around and waiting for you. :rolleyes:The man without a signature.0 -
Why do some couriers when doing residential deliveries just shove a pre-filled-out card through the door without even knocking.
I've seen this happen but wasn't able to get out from under the dashboard of my car quick enough to catch the driver before he !!!!!!ed off.0
