I really really really want a iphone 3g. However, I am only a poor student and thus i cannot afford it

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get one cheap (i dont mind second hand)

I have tried eBay but they go for loads (sometimes more than price for new one :eek:)

I have looked at gumtree but i dont live in a major city and therefore i cannot meet people to get offers.

go to www.fatfingers.com and search for iphone. it'll find all the misspelt ads on ebay and they tend to be a fair bit cheaper.

AVforums, people negotiate openly in the ad posts, but it is well moderated so kept nice and civil.

Save up.

Your best chance will be june ish when they release version 4, people upgrade and a small glut will appear on the market.
The iPhone is the current must have toy, like ipods they don't usually get discounted (unless they are refurbs) as Apple maintains a hold on the retailers selling it so it only goes for RRP, with at the most a few pounds off (usually as some free inducement such as a itunes gift card)
