  • Sorry to be the bearer of bad news – but I have just called a load of stores and all have told me the exact same that the sale has been postponed for a week. A couple said that due to the bad weather sales last week were lower so giving it another week at 50% to increase sales.

I also called head office who confirmed that it has been delayed – but said they were unable to give a date when it would start as apparently they don’t know themselves yet! But from the number of responses from the sales assistants at various stores it does look very likely that it will be Wednesday 20th.

So sorry everyone I think we will have to wait another week!!

  • That is a little bit crafty if that is the case,
All the I will say is though, is that I have been into boots now several times over the last fortnight and stock levels seemed to have stayed the same, nothing seems to have 'dwinled' down much.....

I'm wondering if they are playing the bad weather card, so that they can ship excess stock out to stores, and havent been able to do it in some parts of the country last week due to the bad weather....

I will still be at my local tomorrow morning at 8.30am just incase

Will this be tonights official thread? Hope its as good as the S&G thread was :) You lot kept me going!

I know I'll keep an eye on the thread to see what's up! I may not stay up to the full 3am thing though unless the Web site actually goes down around midnight (which it does when it's updating). I'm usually up a bit past midnight anyhow, so that first leg of our bargain hunt won't require a late night for me.

It's really iffy now whether the sale will be tomorrow or next week. I'd actually have a better chance of getting out to a store if it were next Wednesday, so I'm not too bothered, lol. That said, I'd still prefer if it were tomorrow for all those who already had to rearrange their lives to be able to get there even though I probably couldn't go.
  • Can I just ask a quick question,
I didnt add anything to my wishlist when everything was in stock and when I now go on boots.com there are only about 6 pages of products left most of which isnt really worth buying.
Did i need to add things to my wishlist in order to get them in the 75% off sale?
If i did is there anything i can do now?

    Thanks
    :T :T

I've also rang around 4 boots stores in the BOURNEMOUTH area who have all said thats it's been postponed, 3 of them said untill next week and 1 said they didn't know when till! Problem here is - we actually haven't had snow, a little drizzle and some ice, Toys are virtually sold out at my local (castlepoint) and the usual crap that goes 75% is there so i don't know what will actually be left!! :(
Does anyone know what stock is like at BOURNEMOUTH TOWN CENTRE??

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything you can do now. For future reference, I always add mine to Favourites. Many people use the wishlist, which is also a good idea, except that someone said once you move it from the wishlist to the basket it goes out of your wishlist (and if the item goes out of stock, it will disappear from your basket and you can't get it back if they get more stock). Items remain in Favourites even when you add them to the basket, though.

However, most of the things on my favourites list are out of stock and stay out of stock, so having them there won't help me get them anyway. Which is to say, don't be too devastated as even if you'd saved those items to favourites the chances of getting them are slim once they are out of stock on the main site.
  • oh no!!! how could they do this!! my local Boots is rmmed full of gifts, but they only had 2 left of the one I wanted. Think I am going to cry! Will be down there at opening tomorrow anyway and will have to get it at 50% off or I wont get it at all.
