  • I had an email from .com saturday offering me the peppa pig rocket lamp at 75% (buy at full price and they will refund the diff) because i emailed them to complain about website issues and things going full price when back in stock etc...by the time read the email that had gone oos again, so another email later and i have been offered the same with the Thomas go glow that wasnt even in the sale. Delighted with that!

Wow, thats really good! I have really struggled to get one from anywhere under £20! Altho', got the ITNG one from Debenhams for £10 (battered box) and think its a bit naff! Hey-ho, the kids love 'em and if it makes them stay in their rooms at night then i'm a happy mummypig!

    Just thought i'd update what was in Boots in Newcastle city center today, the big one in eldon square;

    Load of Wrapping paper (downstairs)
    Jamie Oliver childrens aprons (downstairs)
Loads of mugs with marshmallows in (downstairs)
Loads, and by that i mean 8 shelves full of In The Night Garden figures (Downstairs)
    Chocolates (downstairs)
Thoes tall tins with biscuits in (downstairs)
Cat/ Dog Photo frames (downstairs i think tho they might have been in the boots where nothern electric used to be as i poped in their first)
    Fridge magnetic photoframes (downstairs)
    Startreck Cards (downstairs)
4 silver vanity cases with 17 makup in (upstairs)[looked really nice were only £7.50 but as i got the No7 ultimate collection last week i couldnt justify it)

The stand upstairs also had one or two of other items, but the stuff was going really quickly, including a winnie the pooh diary, some jewellery draws, couple of the Fresh baskets, couple of boxes of cards, some chilli peppers lip glosses, another lipgloss set, Cicelia purse and key fob, rose sented candle, rose sented rede difuser,no7 compact mirror, Fresh shaker, a set of 3 elle fragrences and other odd bits of things i cant rememebr. There also seemed to be people who'd got to the sale before me (it was about 2pm) and had some ELC toys and sanctury stuff (gladly got mum sanctury stuff on the first day). Oh and their was a few of some sort of game to do with memory, looked a bit like one of thoes that gives you electric shocks but i didnt look at it as wasnt interested in it.

The best find on the small stand upstairs was the Gok wan set that was in the big purple box for £40, i found it on the bottom shelf at the back obviously no one had looked, but after looking what was in it i decided i didnt need it so put it back and a sales assistant who had just started her shift and was ment to be working grabbed it.

The SA told me all the stuff was not origanally their for the sale, they recieved stuff in a delivery it was from the smaller stores, so ladies its definetly worth a look in you bigger boots stores incase they get more stock in.

I got my self a set of 3 lip balms for £1.25 (cant remember the make) and a lee stafford poker straight small gift set that was in a bright pink cosmetic bag, for £3.
  • Just wondered if anyone knew what the stock levels where like in meadowhall or sheffield??

    Am popping there tomorow.

In Sheffield there was barely anything left the day after the sale started last week so I doubt there'll be much left now! I was wondering about Meadowhall too...

just wanted to say i got really messed around by boots.com during the 75% sale and ended up having my order cancelled, afted a heated phone conversation, sorry after ANOTHER heated phone conversation between them and myself on friday i received a call from them today apologising for my inconvenience and they have also put 1500 points on my advantage card for my trouble!:jso if anyone else has had problems during this sale it might be worth pushing for some points

Glad you got your points, you are one of many lucky customers who was given points. I am one of the unfortunate ones. I have been messed around big time by them but I was told by email that it is not their policy to give points when a customer complains. Then I was told it depends on the customer service advisor dealing with the complaint, whether points are given or not. I was on the phone for ages and ages from my mobile phone, wish I never bothered but have now learnt not to call Boots from my mobile when the sale is on lol.

This is what I have just recieved in responce to my 3rd complaint email. (1st about .com crashing after being offline all night, 2nd about items available online but full price plus differing responces from CS, 3rd about different responces and "friend" being offered points for the same complaint. )

Thank you for contacting us further regarding our 75% sale. I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the response you received from my colleagues. I hope that I can help you further.

As my colleague Tracey previously mentioned to you, all feedback we receive from our customers is investigated thoroughly to improve the level of service we offer going forward.

We appreciate that the issues we encountered with our sale has been disappointing to our customers, however we can assure them that our sale is still available in stores. We would advise that as the sale has been within our stores for several days now, customers should be aware that not every store may have the sale items they were looking to purchase.

As my colleague Jack mentioned in his previous email to you, we treat all of our customers individually. Unfortunately we would not be able to offer you compensation at this time. I apologise for any disappointment that this may cause.

Thank you again for contacting us. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please contact me further on the number or address below.

    Kind regards

    Kim Storer

dont get me wrong i am really glad ive been given points buts its really unfair that they dont treat everyone the same!perhaps its the fact that they gave me lots of conflicting info i.e i called at least 4 times to check my order had gone through and was told it had, at one point they told me it was in the warehouse only for it to be cancelled !
