Hi thanks for posting this info its much appreciated :D What time does the store open please? Also did you notice if they had any toys in stock.

It has been a while since I have been in the sauchiehall street boots and the last time I was they had changed it to one level and refurbishing it.

    Hi Mrs T

According to the website Sauchiehall Street opens at 8.00 a.m. I'm going to try and pop in before work (if I can get myself out the house in time!!)

When I was in there on Sunday most of the sale stuff was on an aisle facing the back door entrance. They also had a few display stands at the ends of the aisles where the Christmas stuff had been.

I don't know if they have moved it or have got more in since sunday

I remember last year - Sauchiehall Street was mobbed just after 8.00 a.m. They had aisles and aisles of stock and everyone had trolleys piled high. I met another MSE'r (think it was Orangelily her name was) and she had the same idea as me. Start there and then head to Buchanan Galleries which opens at 8.30 a.m.

I got my husband to come and meet me straight from working night shift as I needed him to carry my bags as we don't have a car. We had six big carrier bags full by the time we left Sauchiehall Street and i left hiim sitting on a bench in Buchanan Galleries while I went to see what they had. I came back out the shop with another two bags full to find him sitting bolt upright on the bench sound asleep with his head nodding and his mouth open cathcing flies. Mind you he was still holding on to my six bags of sale goods.

    Hi anic

I didnt realise there was a back door lol. Or I havent noticed it tbh. The place was such a mess when I was in last it put me off. I know the pharmacy and the opticians was on the back wall is that still the case.

Are you going to come along then.

i agree!! Not wearing a coat - wearing hoodie, with vest underneath! I need as much arm as possible to carry stuff - my coat gets in the way!!!!!

I've had to bribe teenage sister (£10 phone credit and KFC lunch) to be my other set of arms hehe :p
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

I have just noticed... the 75% off sale is in this week's email!! And Martin will no doubt pop up on the GMTV sofa to spread the word tomorrow. So the last 2 people in the country who don't realise it's happening will know by 8:45 tomorrow!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm glad the two in our city open at 8am, hopefully people will be sitting at home in their PJ's when they hear the news, by which time I will be on my way home hehehe

Good luck all. I will be giving it a miss (gasp), I am a new woman thanks to this no more toiletries challenge! :j:j

I made a decision to join after the boots sale, and when it was postponed I was given a weeks grace, so tomorrow I need also need to spend my no7 vouchers and points vouchers because after that nothing for 3 months to start which (except tooth paste!) It's going to be so hard to stay out of boots though, esp when the boots gliches come up and extra points!

I'm also joining the no new clothes/shoes challenge at the same time...don't need any underwear or anything that I might be able to manipulate as essential (again for 3 months to start with)
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

The back door is between the pharmacy and the photography desk. It takes you out on to Renfrew Street facing the side of the Thistle Hotel.

If I can get out of my bed early enough I am going to try and go in before I go to work. Leaving hubby at home this time as there isn't as much that I fancy as I have in the past few years.
  • my wife reckons i should take some steroids before i go to boots tomorrow to do her bidding
