They cleanser/toner is 30ml which is travel size. I would class them all as travel size.

Is trial size bigger than travel size or are they the same?

Trial size are usually very small, 30ml on average and travel size is anything up to 100ml (75ml on average) because they are aircraft freindly

  • Why cant they tell us ????? they did last year and the year before what so different about this year ?????????

If a company was to announce to all its customers that stock was going to recuded by a furhter 50% of its current price on a certain day do you really think anyone would then go and buy anything? No. Everyone would wait till the day it was all reduced causing the company to make less money. Therefore Boots are highly unlikely to announce to all and sundry their further markdown date, and indeed this is changeable due to many factors such as current stock levels, new stock levels, staffing, weather etc etc as we have seen. Also staff are usualyl the last to know about sales, indeed we are often surprised to find the sale has arrived etc in the store I have worked in! Alot of us are parttime so dont get told alot of the info on sales and sometimes the managers just sort it out between them and tell the staff in brief on the morning.

Like i said, its a disappointment, but it became clear yesterday that it wasnt going to be happening today so we live and learn. No point getting annoyed it will just ruin the fun of sale shopping!

can anyone point me in the direction of the No7 Ultimate Collection? also if items go OOS do they ever come back in stock?
  • Things on the website do often come back in stock after they have gone out. However they are not put back onto the main site so you will only know this if they are in your wishlist or favourites. Im guessings its because they dont have a large stock quanity back in.

I think the ultimate collection is OOS at the min on website but it has been in andout of stock repeatedly over the last few days. Not sure if its still showing in sale section if it is pop it on your favourites and then just check your favs to see if it comes back in stock.

I went into my local boots today when they opened and picked one up for £30, even though it has disappeared from the website. They were fully stocked on the shelf as well.

I agree, Boots are well within their rights not to reduce stuff further and I can totally see why they would want to eek out the 50% off sale. Waht company wants to lose money if they do not have to? Boots are more than generous with their points, offers and sales anyway, I'd hate a load of complaining to make them stop.

Am I the only one thinking that it seems a bit sad to give some poor shop assistant grief for ONE HOUR over HO not putting on the sale today. Something that she had no control over anyway. Sales like this are a bonus. If they reduce the number of items they buy in next year there will be nothing for anyone then.

You sound like you might have been those 6 ladies from the sale mentioned about 10 pages back, blocking the aisles between you so no-one else could buy anything!!
  • Sorry to go of topic but for those who brought or received the Soap and Glory Hat box sets I am starting to use all my soap and glory bits and loving them but wondered what you all use the stripe pull up bag for that is inside the hat box? I am thinking of using it a toiletry bag for hols but do you think it strong enough?
