    Morning FC,

Hope Santa was good to you this morning!

Yup the normal puppy behaviour is good. In fact though I was venting I am a little pleased as when she first arrived she was too scared to even consider being even a small bit rambunctious.

Yesterday was our first totally dry/clean day. We even left her for four hours for a evening function. She did so well.

When let out this morning she weed and poohed straight off the bat. Sadly took my eyes off her for a second and ate some. Ewww (especially as she wanted to lick me after! Heh heh heh)

So a clean doggy is a perfect Christmas present.

Hugs to you all and your furry ones

    Tyger

    Today’s update:

Pride doth come before a fall.

Feeling smug as she was clean all day yesterday thought we had turned the corner. Went out for a huge long walk to burn excess pup energy before the Christmas guests arrived. Peed n Poohed. Yay

As she growls and barks a strangers we popped her away to her room until the guests has settled in and let her down (they were pre prepped not to acknowledge her while barking or growling) introductions went really well. Much reduced growling but still a bit of fraidy pee.

Then ten minutes later all is calm everyone is sat nattering with tea and nibbles catching up when Pip casually hunkers down and peed in the living room! Was taken outside sharpish.

On her return she then paced backwards and forwards in front them for ages, making us dizzy lol – so to calm her she went back in her room for about twenty mins. When she came back out was fine had settled enough to lay by the fire gnawing a bone.

Clean since but not counting me chickens....:D

Pip seems to be in a grumpy rebellious mood this morning and is in my bad books for chasing the chickens (This I will not tolerate and for the first time ever shouted at her), chewing and spitting coal out over the kitchen and knocking over the airers...... (And breathe)

Mine likes to eat coal - I have no idea why. I got seriously fed up with bits of coal ground into the hearth rug and found the only solution in the end was to buy a coal scuttle with a lid. She'll still spend hours licking the caol dust off the hearth given half a chance (still, saves me cleaning it.)
She is cute though. Got any brandy left?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Attention seeking to pee in the house? It's the one bad behaviour that is really tough to ignore ....

  • Sounds a little bit like an anxiety condition with this poor dog, is he ( through no fault of you or your friend ) having to be left on his own too long. - personally I would be talking to the vet about this situation, then maybe he could prescribe something to calm any anxiety down. Do hope that you get to sort this problem out for all your sakes. -- Stargaze, best of luck,
