Hi all,
I am torn between moving from my current supplier to Ebico and wanted peoples views on them before i move. Some price comparison websits say i will make a saving and some say i wont. I have also found mix views on the company saying some people have saved alot and some have not even that they was told they would make a saving.

There are scores, if not hundreds, of posts if you do a search.
Their accounts are handled by Southern Electricity, few seem to have the slightest problems with the company.
Non profit making company.
Gas and electricity are just one rate, no standing charge, no tiers, no difference how you pay and no discounts.
Gas is very competitive - especially a low to medium user
Electricity is not competitive unless you are an ultra low user.
With dual fuel they are not the cheapest as there are no dual fuel dicounts.0 -

It will depend on your consumption, but I suspect gas will be cheaper with Ebico and Electricity with BG.
Get rid of your pre-pay meters and you can get the cheapest dual fuel tariffs.0 -
I have tried to get rid of the prepayment meters, Problem is its our first flat and we have asked British Gas to install a normal meter but they want £500 for each one

I believe there are companies who will install a 'normal' meter for nowt. Anyone confirm/deny? You certainly don't want to be paying BG £500 in order to save money on your gas and electric IMO.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Hi,
Well we have used a prepayment meter only beacuse it was allready here when we moved in. We do pay other bills by card as well so we can keep track of our bills.
If we was to move to normal meters is there anyway you can still pay so much each week

This suggests to me that the data you are inputting is not your annual consumption in kWh. If you don't know this, contact your existing supplier who will provide the necessary information (presunming you've been with them 12 months)
If Ebico are still coming out cheapest, then switch to them.
Even if they are not cheapest, you may still decide to switch to them because of their equitable billing policy (although that obviously isn't moneysaving)."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

You could, but it would not be very accurate as less heat is used in summer, typically no heating costs at all for 6 months, just cooking
It would however be a useful guide and a starting point, accepting that annual use /cost is lowerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

just paid £50 in for this month against my
next gas bill due in February, but have rang
in and paid £10 a time often,I pay the electric
this way too:j:j:j0
