We too, received these through the post - To return them if you don't want them. My old man purchased a couple for my birthday, which was really nice of him, however they're now suggesting that he owes them for £120 for a "Gold" coin that he never receieved.
We'll end up going to court over this one... beware of these !!!!!!.0 -
"London Mint Company" should have been your first clue , the Royal Mint is based in Wales .The Royal Mint has been privatised - so they're no better than Franklin Mint0

It is not an issue for me that the coin is not legal tender in the UK – it’s a collector’s coin, I didn’t purchase it with the view to spending it. The fact that is not legal tender in the UK does not impact on the coins collectable value, so it makes no difference at all if I want to trade or sell it to another collector.
Amazing yet again, a newbie's first post is in defence of a scam.......gee, I wonder of they are related???0 -
Please can someone advise me, I have begun collecting minature gold coins from the London Mint Office @ approx. £60 each. Having just read about the £5 Queens 80th Birthday coin in my collection only being valid in Tristan da Cunha, I am now wondering about the rest of my coins. Am I being conned and wasting my money on what I hoped would be a future investment.

I've got one of these coins, and I can't say I realised that it wasn't valid in england! Oh well it still looks nice i guess. Thankfully i've only ever received further mail shots from them offering me more coins, havent had any further coins or demands for payment *touch wood*0
