can`´t find Wifi on new Samsung nc20 netbook

"network adaptors" ........ shows marvell yukon.... ethernet controller
"other devices " ... with what looks like a yellow question mark? ... says ethernet controller .. if i click that i get a "ethernet controller properties" box .. that says "drivers for this are not installed code 28 . "

that´s it .

i bought this nc20 netbook .. white .. 300 pounds from amazon specially for coming away with for a few weeks ..... had all the best reviews etc ... and if i can´t get my work done online while i´m away ... my business is caput !

I think we are getting to the cause now - looks like the Wireless drivers are not installed correctly.
First option, do you have a driver CD with you that came with the netbook - if you do, you should be able to reinstall the driver from there.
Second option - download the drivers from Samsung's support site on another PC and copy them onto a USB memory stick.
Third option - I can't think of one.

davb .... no .. cd i didn´t bring with me...... so i need to do 2nd option .. but not sure if i can .. hotel systems like this one don´t let you download .. see what i can do in the morning though.

davb .. you're being a great help to me ... i've managed to download that file but when i open it there's 20+ differrent icons in it.. and true to form .... i haven't got a clue what to do next !! ??

extract the archive (the file linked to above and to extract it, see To extract a ZIP file: here), then try clicking on

setup (or setup.exe if you have show file extentions enabled)

or ssetup if the above doesn't start and finally install.exe if the above 2 dont want to work.

think i've just done setup.exe ... now got on network connections page an icon for "wireless network connection 2" but with a red cross .. can't work out how to activate it ?

it should just be a case of right click > enable.

are there any switches on the case of the netbook that allow you to turn on/off the wifi?
