Have showed my Runescape addicted 14 yr old DS this post in the hope he will have a go at this puzzle pirates (nothing like a change of scenary !). It also costs nothing!
However he says it looks too childish ,what is the age range of this game ?
Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -
My 8 year old is pestering me to join Disney's toontown which is £6.99 for a month.
I've told him I'll consider letting him join but only if he pays for it out of his pocket money.
I think this is the way it's going. He is game mad! I made him take lego to the childminders today and insisted that he doesn't try to play computer games all day!0 -

Hi,
I showed my 12yr old Puzzle Pirates too, and he also said it was too childish, although when we signed up it says you must be over 13yrs old to play! He has just come off Runescape, where he was a full member, because he got bored and has joined to play Toontown, which although I haven't really stood over his shoulder to watch, looks quite childish to me, but he loves it!
If anyone has any other suggestions for online games, preferably free, or a small charge i'd be really grateful.
thanks
Jules

I sometimes play https://www.sissyfight.com.
It's for over 13s only but there's alot of adults who play. This can mean that there are adult themes which they can access in the message boards so supervision may be required. It's childish in some senses but there's some 'silly' violence involved as well. It's free btw.
Another, fairly boring but strangely addictive free game is
https://www.goober-fest.com.
It's quite quiet and very simple (unlike runescape which sounds phenominally complicated in strategy) but it may appeal.

I'm in my mid-twenties but have a childish sense of humour which is why this stuff appeals. I do, however, have little/no sense about what appeals to teenagers anymore!0 -
Hi
Well those that said he would be soon bored were right - he now plays sometimes , but he has found puzzle pirates- as have I! He asks me if it bothers me that it is meant for kids and all I can say is if I am playing against kids they are seriously good and bright! The initial graphics do look very childish, but it isn't once you get into it - As my husband said - how many games are there on this thing. Wander about a bit. You can toggle do not disturb - which I do and make my 8 year old.0
