Its only a 2 week sick note.
To be honest what did they expect when they prolonged this matter all over the xmas/new year period.
While they were all out getting wrecked and having a fantastic time, I was sat at home not going out trying to save as much money as possible in case thats my last paycheck...
I truly am not well at the moment and as the doctor suggested it may give me time to get my head in the right place to be able to fight this thing to the best of my ability.
I know what you're saying though. It looks bad.
I see what you mean mate. To be honest, if you really dont feel up to it then refuse to go. But you gotta think is it going to get worse by making it drag on another two weeks...0 -
interesting points from you all! thank you.
The anti depressant i'm taking is called Citalopram. I began usage at the end of the first week of December.... shortly after my second burglary. After speaking with my Doctor and reading the pamphlet that comes with them, it seems they could account for much of the 'mistakes' and sickness i've suffered, the doctor was also unsure about how they would react with alcohol.
I don't want to blame anything on a pill though.
Also, if any of you doubt my honesty regarding the drug usage - I can barely handle my beer, i've hardly graduated to Class A drugs (besides I wouldn't know how to go about buying them even if I had)
Shouldnt be drinking at all while on ADs mate. Not clever...0 -
good luck for today OP, hope everything goes ok. Dont forget your notes and remember to stay calm and focused.

Just wanted to say Good luck and hope these idiots in 'charge' realise how silly they are being.0

Good luck OP
Think that if you can go in today it is the best call. At least then you have shown willing to resolve this issue despite being signed off. If this ever gets to tribunal this will do you no harm whatsoever.

As above, good luck if you decide to face it today.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

Thanks guys, but i'm not going in today. Can't do it. They still didn't reply to my email that I sent last friday advising them of this....
Wonder what the hold up is?0 -
This is a very tricky situation for them also, so any response will be checked, double checked, checked again and then reviewed by about 4 or 5 senior peeps. At least, that's what I would expect.
After all, they want to make sure that they don't say or do anything that makes the situation worse for themselves.
Unfortunately, these things take time.
Did you put a read receipt on the email? If not, it may be worth calling to confirm receipt. You don't need to ask for a response etc, just confirmation that the email has been received.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
They didn't expect you to fight this and now I think they are getting a clearer picture of what happened that night....... starting this on the basis of two drunk people at a party and drunk witnesses is not good management style. They are probably having to check everything they do and say now!0
