Shell MasterCard from Citi

James_N,
Did you get anywhere with this?
I've had the same letter saying I opted-out of marketing (or, something along those lines) but I already have a Drivers Club card and would like the 3% for a year. I did send a letter to opt-out of having my information flying around between endless companies, so fair enough. I tried logging into the Drivers Club and Citi websites and there is no indication of cashback/points rates on either (old or new), so no help there. Otherwise I'll trying ringing the number in the letter (see Rob 07's post, number 19).
I will also be using the Mastercard once next year to use up the cashback (total of around £105 since I had the card), then closing it as I've had the Amazon one for a couple of months.0 -

I'll be interested to see what happens. I have a V-power club card, so get double points already, so I would like to see what points I get!0 -

No - never got anywhere with this - seems like they are not really interested. I suppose fuel sales are a captive market in many senses, so they don't need to try that hard (we HAVE to have fuel, but and here the number of petrol stations has steadily fallen over the past ten years - that seems like an opposite, but it does mean that a number of places now have a monopoly on an essential product).Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
I got a letter from the Drivers' Club on the 22nd telling me I'm about to get double the usual points on my Shell fuel purchases. So, regular fuel gets 2 points per litre (instead of 1) and V-Power gets 4 points per litre (instead of 2). This is for the whole of 2010.0

I have received no details about the drivers club at all. I do have a card though already. Anyone know if that will be sufficient to get the 3 pts per litre instead of the 1pt? 3 calls to CITI about the card have been fruitless. Shell say CITI deal with the cards and CITI say Shell do Arghh!0

I was sent a new Drivers Club card and asked to register it online so that I could start getting 3pts/litre for 1 year. So not sure if the old card will be eligible for the offer. Your online statement for Drivers Club card should show the points you are presently getting.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
Had a look at the statement after registering, and yes my old card is getting 3pts per litre.0
