Baby steps I think :D I think first thing is first in going there again then i will ahve to go and get a new bible, and explain where my gifted bible and my baptism bible has gone :oI hope they understand

It worries me that you are concerned they might not. If they are not willing to accept/understand/forgive then I am unsure how they can call themselves christian, and I really hope you are just worrying over nothing there.

And in any case, as Bookie says, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks.

Edit - sorry, that sounds a bit blunt reading it back :o

Snaggs its not they wont understand the problem is they dont know how 'ill' I became. The gifted bible came from my friend and she knew how bad I had become so I am not to worried about that. What concerns me is have to divulge to everyone one of my biggest secrets which could then leak into the 'public' domain and ultimately to my Mum, who doesnt even know how bad I had become. That is what I am worried about. I know they will forgive me but I dont want them to know why. Does that make sense?

Not blunt at all, I knew what you mean *hugs*
  • Thanks Pap.
I have a see-saw relationship with church. We have an evil vicar and I sometimes only hang to spite him rather than change churches. (long story).
God and I fall out a lot - you should have heard me rant about BIL's cancer - but I still keep trying to trust. I guess we all fall out with our Dad's at times. :rotfl:
    Keep plodding.

I've just read on DT that Brittany Murphy's died of a heart attack, such a shame she was a great actress.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

You don't have to tell them anything.
There is nothing for them to forgive unless you have directly hurt them as individuals - that is in the hands of a higher authority.
They should/will welcome you back without any questions.

Apologies if we're getting too deep here!

I've still not made my christmas cards.

Should have shut up and left it to Beanie!
  • Thanks Beanie and Bookie, as usuall you all know the right answer. I will just go along and if I need to buy a new bible so be it. I guess at the end of the day as long as God forgives me fore effectively 'destroying' his word then all is well :D Not too deep at all Bookie, although for the DC it may be
Should have shut up and left it to Beanie!

Why you have some many good words Bookie, and plus two opinions is always better than one/none :)

Ohhh and can I add I love MSE and especially Beanie, the kindness of a 'stranger' is one I will treasure forever :A
