    Can't give you any advice on the religious stuff I'm afraid, it's something I have very little understanding of, but I do think that as part of you being in a better place mentally, you should look to celebrate the good and positive things you do, and let go of the guilt you feel for the things you percieve you have done 'wrong'.

    You would give a friend a second chance if your friendship had lapsed but they found your way back to you...

    I have a bit of a 'thing' for James May, everyone thinks I'm mad!

    Just finished reading Winter Ghosts by Kate Mosse, it was sad but she's getting a bit repetitive with the storylines. Want to read more about the Cathars though.
    Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Ha, I have found out what is wrong with the boiler, the outlet pipe is frozen as it should either be lagged or be thicker than 32mm (which it isnt) OH has just pulled out a huge tube of ice from the end of it but we think it is frozen all the way along (about 6 feet worth of pipe over the flat roof).

    Bloody cowboy installers:mad::mad::mad:

    OH and DS1 are now outside trying to defrost the pipe with hot water bottles:eek:
    But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Back from my carol service - bit brrr and slidey out there.

    Pap, so glad all went well at church. I don't know why you have stayed away obviously but I have been tempted to stop going myself. Remember that is not what the people there think that counts but that your relationship with God is betwwen you and him. Also a lamb back in the fold is so very precious.

    We had people there tonight that I'd not seen for ages and I do hope we welcomed them back.

    I do talk rubbish sometimes.:o

    Well bookie the short veriosn is... Left to go 'away' to college (2004), that feel through (3 months ish) and when I went back some people made me feel like a faliure. At that point there were many youth (15-19) and I was made to feel unwanted etc. So I gradually grew away from church although I would go once a month ish. Then things happened and I got ill (2006) at which point I never went back. I did however see member of the church at regualer times so they knew I was 'ok'. Although I kept in contact with one of the elders/my friend from church and said I would go back in the new year. I choose the carol service because I knew it would be busy ish.

    I think thats where I have got to just now. Its like there is something 'missing' in my life I have tried to fill it with so many thing but I know exactly whats mising adn its time to put that right. i am really embaressed and guilty though because my relationship with him has suffered. I mean in my 'bad' days I even go rid of all my bibles :eek: I regret it so much and in the last month I have been searching for snippets online. Deep down I know I need to go back and I need to build that relationship back up from the foundations...

    I dont know what your denomination is but my church sways from being laid back to mega religious though so I am not sure I can be thrown into the whole big bible groups/sermons like I was before. Baby steps I think :D I think first thing is first in going there again then i will ahve to go and get a new bible, and explain where my gifted bible and my baptism bible has gone :o I hope they understand :cool:

    You dont talk rubbish, it was partly you that restired my desire months back when you were posting about your church, so without you ;)
  • I'm watching the 2nd part of the Strictly final - slept through it last night.
    Put tv on and there was some odd thing on about a mother dying in childbirth. Baby didn't look good either. Great.
