Will you be disciplined enough to get back straight onto it on Boxing day Pap? If so I think you should give yourself the day off and just have a little bit of something nice!

I dont think I will Sally, well I will because I have to, but I dont want to wobble. I dont know if I posted one here about it but I am feeling really guilty because I binged last weekend  Put on a few extra pounds (all water though) so need to have a few weeks 100%. The problem is both days are in the middle of my 'weeks' so I cant avoid them in my weigh-ins. I think I will just have my birthday off. after all there will be a christmas next year

Hows the car hunting going then?

not well. I've got about 12 cars on my favourites ranging from £1k to £4k () but nothing that is right for what I want . There is a car for sale at work - someones MIL has had to stop driving.

97 Polo (P reg), 88k on the clock, FSH, she's owned it for 10 years. Nothing on the advisory on the last MOT, but only 6 weeks left on it . He forgot to look at how much tax is left and is going to let me know Monday. £495 ono. Driver's electric window doesn't work but researching, it seems a common problem on that model and is a cable which could have slipped rather than the motor being knackered.

Nearest one with autotrader locally to compare is 1 year younger with a year's tax and MOT - £2k. I was hoping to see it today but the conversation didn't get that far with the guy yesterday, he hasn't come back to me. Because of work I won't get to see it in the light if I view before Christmas so it would have to be Boxing Day or next Sunday to even see it. It's not really what I want long term, but if it's reliable it would be an excellent stop gap.

I should also have some money leftover from the insurance claim - not much, but a little, depending on what I'm offered ;)

Pap, if you are worried about coming off it totally, you could always have the meat and veg, but stay away from the really carb-heavy things like potatoes, so you are still more or less sticking to the principles.

My gut reaction is to say 'have Christmas off, eat what you like', but I know it's not easy to get back onto the diet after coming off it, so do what you are comfortable with. :) And have a great Xmas!

BB - I'm 55, fat and single. It has it's down side obviously but I know where I stand and what it what. I would love to be loved and to be honest I still love my ex but would rather be single than having the relationship we had.
Can't really advise you but you seem to be revisiting the problem frequently which can't be good for you.
Bad time of year for major decisions I know so maybe keep the peace for now but ....
