Snowing Driving!

I love driving in snow, its what cars were made for imo! Found out today my car makes a loud beeping noise when you're being a bit of a tit, all in an empty car park of course. Should make driving in icy/snowy/ hazardous conditions part of the driving test on one of those special circuits.0

...it tooks me 4 hours to do Stockport to Leeds which included a 10 minute stop to tell the missus I'd be side-swiped by a lorry.
Not good =(0 -

Agreed. Let me be the first in line as I am so wary of driving in it after several very scary near misses. Hell I hate even walking over it! Black ice is the worst.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

I'm not interested in his judgement of other drivers, in the snow, in the wet, in the dry or any other condition. What a waste of time.
Er.. I was really only trying to start a conversation you know.0 -

I parked at the bottom of my hill tonight next to the main road
we have just had our first snowfall this year.

Snow - what snow? Nothing here at all - yet...0

Attacking that hill with a bit more speed would ensure you get up it rather than getting yourself and everyone else stuck.
Theres no need to do 5mph when the snow is only on the pavement and the road is clear.
Its foolish to brake on the corner like you normally do, you wont stop before you hit the hedge. (oh and look behind you when you have to reverse out of it)
Witnessed all the above last night on a necessary journey.
If you are so scared of driving in the snow do everyone else a favour and stay home.

 You brake mid corner!!!!! I learnt not to do that when owning a mid engined car.
The car park of the local beauty spot was like a sheet of ice early yesterday morning, drifting at 15mphsheer bliss, until the blue humpbacks arrived to walk around the lake.

any good driver brakes before the corner and sets their gear.
Braking mid corner, especially in these conditions is suicide0
