Recommend me a touch phone please :)

I'm looking to get a new phone and fancy a touch screen but would like some recommendations please :D

I'm currently on O2 PAYG with a Sony Ericsson W810i, I normally only top up £10 pm - so I'm guessing that I'll prob be sticking with PAYG as I'd be paying more p/m for a contract phone?

Am looking at stopping with O2 or going to Tesco mobile (also O2) cos thats the only network that seems to have a signal at our house - vodafone, three and T mobile all dont work here (not sure about orange).

Don't want to pay more than £150 for a new phone (and OH would prefer under £100) so thinking about LG cookie or Samsung tocca lite? Any thoughts on these? Or is there a better option?

thank you :D
Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j

I have recently bought a LG Cookie, it was only £68 in the O2 shop, i find it easy to use and has very good features for the price. Would definatly recommend it.
  • DD1 (16) has an alcatel 1 touch mini. Seems a little gem for the £30 it cost! Does all the expensive phones do, and non of the "dialling in your pocket" reported with the cookie, or droped calls etc.

Instructions are useless but it is a pretty intuitive device.

She has a 4gb card for her music in it too.

Nice little phones those - a friend has one because he keeps breaking/losing phones so has given up on expensive ones :rotfl:

I bought my DS one of these yesterday from Orange for £59.99 + £20 (minimum) top up which gets 300 free texts and internet. The texts and internet expires after 1 month but the credit doesn't expire. Then each time you top up by £10 you can get 100 free texts + internet which will be usefuul for school holiday time But be warned, the black handset is in short supply.
