ive earned alot via quidco in the last couple of years but i agree that everything doesnt either track or pay out :(
i made purchases from great universal the other week and nothings tracked, funny that it was for nearly £1000 eh.
im very busy so trying to remember all the details for in 70 days time is just ridiculous.
i think il move to another site if it doesnt track or pay out , sad but needs must :)
:cool:minds is willing , soul remains, this woman cannot be saved

Quidco does work on small payments, but the one time I went through a lot of trouble to sign up online for something very expensive because I was going to get about 80 quid cashback, it never came. And quidco did nothing about it. But since it was something I was going to put money out for with that particular company whether or not I got the cashback, it wasn't crushing or anything. I still use quidco. I think the key is to not buy something only because there is a promise of Quidco cashback. I did do that once with something else I didn't end up using, and I did get the cashback -- but I only did that because other MSE folk had reported that the cashback did work, and worked quickly.
  • I have had around £800 back from quidco in the last 18 months and have only had an issue with one £15 cashback not being received. TBH I prefer quidco out of all the cashback sites. The longest I waited was about 5 months and that was for £100 mobile phone cashback. As others have said, I just look at it as a bonus really.
  • The problem tends to be with the retailers.

AA refused to honour cashback so I will no longer deal with them.

It is simple really - If you get the money it is a bonus (and You will get it virtually all the time) If you don't get it, it is because Quidco haven't been paid by the retailer - in which case blame the retailer. I guess there will be a tiny percentage where the system goes wrong, but I believe these are paid out when the problems have been resolved.
    To infinity and beyond!
  • Speak as you find, I've been with Quidco since Sept 2006 and have received a total of £1833.47 back with £31.46 declined, which is probably my fault for not clearing cookies and the cashback going elsewhere.

But if you're not happy there are plenty of similar sites :money:

Please forgive me if I have placed this in the wrong place, this is the only forum I read

I first heard of Quidco via this forum and have since made MANY purchases via them, it apears I always get paid the tiny amounts but the large payments always end up with me raising queries and basically pleading for my cashback

My car insurance cashback is now outstanding since april 2009 and the Sky HD offer that hubby purchased in March 2009 has still not been paid

I am posting this here to re-iterate the MSE message that you should never count on any cashback, we are owed as a family nearly £200 which we were pinning our hopes on for christmas , I managed to deliver a baby in 9 months but Quidco can't deliver on their promises in that time.

    Please Beware

    Merry Xmas

The money has been outstanding since March, yet you were planning your whole Christmas around it?

Methinks you need to plan a little better!
    Gone ... or have I?

Methinks you need to plan a little better!

Methinks you need to understand English better
Methinks you just type things without reading them properly
Methinks you likes sound of keyboard tap tap tapping

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I said "we were pinning our hopes on it for xmas" as led to believe by Quidco

I just feel a little "ripped off" and I may get the money eventually, but quite frankly I could have earnt the money in the time I have wasted checking, remebring to check, leaving myself reminders to contact them on a set date etc, they are all little tricks to make people fall off their system, the vendor and Quidco, I am not privvy to their corporate structures enough to comment on who is to blame exactly, I do suspect the vendor is the problem though.

I didn't say that my whole xmas was planned around it!

I actually do not need the money, but I have never been known to refuse an opportunity to make some more, it always comes in handy, I dont think anyone signs to Quidco and honestly thinks "well if I dont get any money, hoefully those nice people at Quidco can have it and anyway they have all my details, I hope they put them to a good use" :rotfl:

Although you assume that £200 has devastated my families xmas and that I can't plan my finances because I dared to say I was pinning my hopes on it by xmaswhat I am in fact saying is,.it would have been nice to not have to keep checking my quidco when I remember I still haven't got the cashback I was promised..Ok I hear reason in the "think of it as a bonus" but if they said it was a lucky dip as to whether I get my money, I wouldnt have bothered signing up and giving them all my details

But the point of my post is to warn people that might not have the resources available to them that I have and make a decision to purchase something one of Quidco's "Amazing!" offers that appear to me to be completely different to what they "guarantee" on their website

In my opinion, Quidco seem to be misleading people by showing "stats" that say payment is on average 3 months and even then, if there is a problem the stats suggest that only a very small percentage of the already small percentage that do have problems will never get paid.....but they dont list anywhere the large percentage that seem to wait a lot longer than 3 months or whatever their site is suggesting..

~So my warning is to people that might already be struggling with money who are tempted to buy something via Quidco...you are right when you say never rely on the money...in fact, from what others have said to me, the 3 months could be anything up to 2 years!!
