Quidco Warning

  • I've used Quidco for 2 years and consider it to be one of my best finds ever, along with this website. I've made over £1300 so far and have only had to chase them a couple of times. Have waited 10 months before but think of it as a bonus that i get it at all. It's money for nothing (or £5 a year if you want to be picky) - everything I've received cashback for I would have purchased anyway and so many people don't even realise sites like it exist.
  • Quidco is not a service to use if you are going to depend on that money. It should be considererd 'bruicy bonus money'. If you plan your finances around it you would probably end up in trouble
  • I've used Quidco & TopCashBack for the first time this Xmas & I've noticed not all the Quidco payments seem to appear - but I've no list of what I bought through the 2 sites.

Perhaps I'll keep a list from now on!
  • That backs up what I have found out and I owe a great debt to all the earlier replies as I was starting tot hink that it may have been my fault, but I did everything exactly as I was told by Quidco

NEVER EVER buy anything via quidco that is more expensive just to get cashback because they are useless at paying out and sometimes they don't, but if its a tiny amount they will probably pay you, and all the pennies do add up, i get £3 or so from them a month, its just the big offers they show, ie £70 car insurance and £120 SKY that seem to go wrong.....strange that... isn't it? :rotfl:

They really should just be honest and admit the pay out times for large amounts are nearly a year...at least people would be aware.
  • I've been OK so far with Quidco (although I do have one query outstading at the mo)but I used GreasyPalm for 4 bingo sign ups this year, that none of the other cashback sites were doing and ended up losing out on £80 cashback. Greasypalm's explanation was that for all four companies, the companies never paid them any money so no greasypalm users who took up the offers would get any either.

From what they were saying that applied to everyone who took up the offers. Very frustrating especially as there seems to be no way of checking if the companies actually did pay greasypalm any money and no way of checking if the companies are connected to greasypalm in any way.

Please forgive me if I have placed this in the wrong place, this is the only forum I read

I first heard of Quidco via this forum and have since made MANY purchases via them, it apears I always get paid the tiny amounts but the large payments always end up with me raising queries and basically pleading for my cashback

My car insurance cashback is now outstanding since april 2009 and the Sky HD offer that hubby purchased in March 2009 has still not been paid

I am posting this here to re-iterate the MSE message that you should never count on any cashback, we are owed as a family nearly £200 which we were pinning our hopes on for christmas , I managed to deliver a baby in 9 months but Quidco can't deliver on their promises in that time.

    Please Beware

    Merry Xmas

I have had several hundreds of £ using Quidco with no bother. Only a couple of not-worth-the hassle small amounts have not been paid. Some larger amounts have been long-winded, but always arrived.
Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.
