Hi i have read a few posts relating to these so called fines and would just like to ask anyones opinions on my circumstanes,we parked at my local shopping centre on wednesday evening in a disabled bay, i displayed my blue badge and clock and went to do some shopping, on return 15 mins later we had a ticket i was so baffled at to why we had a ticket when i noticed my badge and clock were no longer on the dashboard but had fallen on the floor (it must have happened when i closed the car door ).my husband saw the parking attendent who showed us the photographic evidence that we had no badge on show, we explained what had happened and he said to appeal with a letter to the address on the back of the ticket and see what happens .I am so stressed about this and am not prepared to pay as i feel this was a unfortunate incident ,it annoys me when i see people abusing the disabled bays and mother and child bays but i thought my badge was displayed .Any help or advice would be great thanks x

A blue badge means nothing to the scammers. Do not contact them, their 'appeals' process is a farce with only one outcome. Ignore them and if you get worried by the threatening letters that will come, talk to the people on this forum.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

They'll look for any excuse to send you a begging letter, even to bb holders, they have no shame. You could be blind, deaf and on one leg and as long as you are the registered keeper they will insist you are guilty of being the driver. Ignore the scammers.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Do not appeal and do not pay. It is a scam operated by lowlifes, and your circumstances are no different to any of the other private parking threads on here. Spend the money on something nice for Christmas instead!0

DONT write to them, thats just what they want you to do. It will mark you as a potential mug and they will pester you even more. If you do get worried by their threats post back here for reassurance. Ignoring does work.0

We all like an easy life and to receive what amounts to threatening letters is usually too much for most people. The first instinct is to pay up and make it go away. It is easier than you think to ignore these begging letters when you realise that's all they are. They are not insisting that you pay a fine even if that's what they say. Later you will get the ones which say they ""may"" take you to court and they ""may"" get a judgement against you and lots of other ""mays"". Its virtually unheard of for them to do anything more than threaten, less likely than Elvis winning the Frinton on Sea international lottery. File all the letters, solicitors letters and debt collectors letters(these are usually all from the same firm but with different names on) away at the bottom of a drawer and get them out this time next year and have a good laugh.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

            Hi everyone,
I was in Harvey Nicks car park the other =day, and there was a big sign saying no parking [mummies and kiddies only], but I parked anyway but only because my handicapped dog [it's got diabetes] needed to go to the toilet [this is one of the side effects of it's disease and the medication it has to take].
When I got back to my shiny big Range Rover Sport [09-reg] there was a PCN-thingy on there from EXEL????. My lawyer has told me to pay it or we will get a summons and a bigger fine.
 Any advise please?0
