While waiting to suss out how the heck to upload a review onto DooYoo, I typed on out about a Lush product I used daily. I quite enjoyed it really

But then I did a word count..

    :rotfl:

809 words. Boy did I waffle, whoops!

    Hi Shortie,

I think an 800+ word review sounds great! You are far more likely to be taken as a serious reviewer by other people on dooyoo and they will be more likely to rate your reviews then. I tend to write reviews of around 600+ words, my longest was close to 1000. This seems to be thought well of on dooyoo - as long as it's all useful information and not going off talking about something irrelevant!

When I first started on dooyoo a few more established members gave me some advice. One part of it was that a lot of people have a look at a review but if it doesn't look like much effort has gone into it, they don't even bother rating it and then they won't read any more of your reviews, so it's definitely worth spending a bit of time like you have :)

To find the product you want to review, you just need to type the product name in the search box. Then select 'items in dooyoo catalogue' and the item will appear, if it's already been reviewed. There is then a link that says something like 'write a review on this product'.
If the item doesn't appear, and you're sure you have used the correct name, then you can suggest it to be added to the dooyoo catalogue. The link for that is in your account, about halfway down the left side. It takes around a week for the product to be accepted. My suggestions were accepted today and I added them last Sunday.

    Hope that helps :)

The key is to type 150 words or more per review as i think that gives you more points
    xx

There is just one rate of pay for every review over 150 words - 500 points no matter how many words. Any review under 150 words doesn't get paid at all.

I don't think the reason it only let you write 2 reviews was that they were 300+ words as most reviews are above 500+ words. Did you perhaps write some the previous day but the time had crossed the midnight hour?

Well done Sarah you have done brill this week!! Crowdology seem really good!

NickyBo - good advice about dooyoo. However, I got really mad when I spent an hour on a review and it didn't get crowned. Now I write about 300-500 words off the top of my head and try my best.

Rusty - slacker! Well done for coming over! We have missed you! Everyone this is Rusty. She was challenged to make £75 last May on a challenge here and made £613.33 so we now have an expert on board :D

It started on the 1st of the month and runs to 31st (but Jan has 5 weeks so we only have a little head start). Make £50 on eBay or £20 on dooyoo. All details in post 2 of this thread.

You don't have to keep up with us, just pop in once or twice a week to say hi and update us on how you are doing.

I find it hard to reply to everyone, but I hope everyone knows that I wuvs them and never intentionally ignore anyone - I just have a life outside of MSE. It is called Twitter and Blogger. Welcome newbies too :)

Thanks Jammy, but a lot of it has been accumulating from last year so I suppose it wont count towards the challenge LOL:rolleyes:

As for Crowdology, I was very supprised always a bit dubious about new sites unless someone on here has give them a good rating but could not believe the speed at which they paid, just had to share, they don't send loads of surveys but even at a £5 every few months or so is worth the effort as they only take about 5-10 min to fill out.

I have decided to try and earn a bit of extra money and have listed all of the box sets that have sat in the drawers for years on ebay. So far I have bids on all but 2 but got quite a few watching so fingers crossed they will all sell. Any money I make will go in an account for Christmas

box sets as in DVDs??? you should have checked music magpie or cex.co.uk to see if they give good prices. Cex was a bit of a hassle but paid well.
