I just found a bit on Toluna that says you need 80 words on an opinion.
Write an opinion: 100 points (must be over 80 words, limited to 5,000 points per month)
I did two just now and they didnt come up on my points so may be I didnt do the 80 words, not sure if you can go back in and add some more but I cant be bothered this morning lol, have things to do. Rufus xx0 -
Wierd - where did I see it say 20 words then? I'm baffled now! LOL
Thanks anyway. I think I'll just stick to the quick polls, they're easier!I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Reached the Dooyoo level this morning so very happy about that, should be able to get the voucher and order some dvds off Amazon before Christmas still.
Claimed another voucher off Toluna, thats three now I am waiting for. Might get first one if I am lucky as I claimed it about 12 October and people are getting theres who claimed beginning of October. Other two might be after now but will come in handy for next year and birthdays.
Had two Lightspeed surveys this morning but didnt get through either of them so still not there on that one. Same with VO, got screened out on that too. Wouldnt mind reaching level on there as they pay out instant with Amazon vouchers.0 -
Hey Guys,
I am so sorry that I have neglected you these past months. I love you all and love the idea of this thread but with one (several:house renovation, moving house, wedding, new job) things and another I no longer have the time to invest in running the challenges, as you may have noticed from my distinct absence. I've never seen this thread as a one person job, it is a team effort and everyone's actions really helps everyone else. So when I say "running" the thread, I actually mean, just updating the first post.
Elysia's asked me if she can 'take over' next year, which is absolutely fine by me, I never really saw it as my thread, just an idea that once sprung up that I roped some lovely people into joining me (scattymam, rufus, mum2one in the early days when there was only about 7 of us!!!).
Good luck with the money making and hope you all have a lovely Christmas xxx

Hi Jammy
Thanks for getting me into this in the first place. This is my second year of being totally money neutral for all my gifts for the year, birthdays and Christmas included. Hope you will still be popping in from time to time to say hello. I think Elysia will be fab at taking over the thread so good luck Elysia, cant wait to start again next year.
Update from my earlier post this morning, found on Toluna that they had already processed one of my £15 Amazon vouchers so managed to order another dvd for OH. Have been filling in my totals for the year and this is my results (drum roll..................)
Total made via surveys and other means £851
Total spent on gifts etc through out the year £462
So plenty inside the money neutral amount. Really pleased with my self and really surprised at totals, a lot of it is due to the other thread as well where I have found ideas and bargains and lots of support for making home made presents.
Love you all, Rufus xxx0 -
Thanks so much from me too Jam Tart. This has been my first year here and I couldn't have been money neutral without all the help and support of both thrifty threads, and my thrifty friends.
I had wanted to help for a while but didn't like to step on anyone's toes so to speak. I have my imagination working overtime at the moment, so I will be getting organised and sorting out some challenges from January onwards. Hopefully, it'll be fun AND money making!
Like Jam Tart says - it will be a group thing, we're a great big family on here so feel free to make any suggestions, tell me what I'm doing wrong or tell me to stop being so bossy, any time you like.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Just to let you all know - shopping.com's promotion is back on.
Shopping.com will pay £5 for 10 reviews. If you write 100 reviews on our Top Products we will pay you £50, and a £15 voucher!*
Here's the link for the top products - just work your way down them.http://uk.shopping.com/sc/uk-top-products
It's not as good as it was before, but the owner now does payments half way through the promotion. He's doing a payment run on Monday, so if you could get some reviews written over the weekend chances are you may get a payment quickly. Even if you can't manage over the weekend, the promotion is only half way through, so you'll have some extra pennies before Christmas.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I am so cross:mad: I still haven't received my amazon voucher from Toluna and when I click on the contact me bit I get page not available:mad:
did someone have an e mail address for Toluna or did I imagine that!
read yesterday that you only have 6 months to query non receipt of vouchers so haven't got long:mad:
sorry for the rant but it makes me so mad that it takes so long and then I can't contact them:mad:saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

yoo hoo all, have started for next year now as all this years gifts are in. Haven't worked it out properly but know I'm pretty much money neutral for birthdays and christmas this year. Am promising myself that 2011 I'm going to keep spreadsheets on how much I save by getting bargains and how much I save by doing surveys etc;
Counting down to the 75 percent off boots sale. Got some amazing bargains from there last year.0 -
elysia - what is shopping.com like?? are they like dooyoo, can people comment on your reviews etc; ...just that's what puts me off doing stuff like that - but I would love the payouts and have the time - lol0
